Chapter 9 - Morbius captured by VVV Overlords! Overpowered Valentino?!

(The Human World)

As Blitzo jumped down from the tree, he dodged a bullet and threw a grenade at the old man, he threw a grenade across the ground. He quickly kicked it over to the small barn, which exploded and massacred the animals in it. He and his employees were assigned to kill the client's old comrade during a war. However, the man betrayed the client and shot him in the heart. Plus, he was also a traitor. Therefore, he wanted to send him to hell in order to avenge himself.

As they try to assassinate him, the old man fires guns, throw grenades and bombs at them. In other words, he fights back and chases them into the woods.

Blitz and Elizabeth quickly hide behind the trees and fire their weapons. They soon see an old, bearded man with firearms, grenades, and bombs attached to him. He fires at them with his powerful firearms.

"Fuck! This target is fuckin insane with these guns!" Blitz muttered.

Elizabeth grunted and fired her gun in the direction she pointed. "No kidding, Blitz! Our client forgot to mention that the target was a high-ranking soldier from World War II.".

Millie then charges toward the target with her knives. The old soldier sees Millie and fires at her with his guns. When she dodges. He pulls the grenade's trigger with his teeth and throws it at Millie. In an attempt to dodge, Millie is sent back by a bomb that lands in front of her. From above the tree, Moxxie sees his wife getting blasted and crashes into a bush.

"Millie!" Moxxie exclaimed.

Moxxie then has his crossbow and begins to fire an arrow, but the old man actually dodges the attack.

"Shit! For an old man, he sure knows how to avoid getting off." Blitzo said. "And where is our lazy-ass acquaintance?! I called him earlier to take care of that bastard!"

Elizabeth said, "We'll have to wait until Morbius gets over the Umbras. "Let's get Moxxie and Millie together and I have a plan."

"Whatever your plan is, Lizzie, don't fucking mess it up!" Blitzo said.

The group gathers together, and Elizabeth has a plan to get him. Soon, Blitzo, Elizabeth, and Millie are chased by the old man, while Moxxie comes out of the bushes and follows from behind. Blitzo and Elizabeth continue to fire at the old man, but the aging soldier throws bombs, grenades, and fires guns at them.

"Draw his fire, so I can throw a knife at him." Elizabeth instructed.

In response, Blitzo tilted from the gunshot near the tree and pulled out a spare pistol and said, "I'm up for it! Eat my lead bullets!"

While crawling to the ground, Elizabeth hid behind the bushes and threw a knife at the old man from behind. When an old man grunted in pain, glaring at her, he tried to shoot her, but she evaded.

Soon enough, the three find themselves in front of a river and turn to see the old man holding a bomb.

"Well, there's nowhere for you vermin to run." The old man says and is ready to throw a lit bomb at them.

Suddenly, he's been shot in the head and falls to the ground and drops the bomb. Turns out, Moxxie shot him.

"Great job, Moxxie!" Millie beams with pride.

Moxxie hurries to the others. "That was close."

"It's encouraging to know the plan worked. We met our target and we waited for the Counsellor. Now it's time to head back to the office and..." Blitzo begins.

Blitzo wonders. "What's that noise?"

The group looks down to see the bomb is still lit and at the end of the fuse. Before they can react, the bomb explodes and blasts into the river. They are soon carried away by the fast current. The group keeps their heads above the current as everyone is swept away in the river.
