Chapter 20 - Monica's Secret Training! Family Bond with Carmine!

(Hazbin Hotel – Lobby/Parlor)

Things are doing slightly better at the Hazbin Hotel, Charlie is still working out to find the answers to how to make the hotel work. Monica watched the princess and felt that she was getting into desperation.

"Ever since I arrived last year, my life has turned upside down. I have struggled throughout the troubles the demons made. And that doll face bitch couldn't stop offering me to join her league of the Vees, so I decided to give up but gotta keep avoiding from her as well to keep my soul intact. Behind the eyes, I secretly talked with some employees who are treated as her slaves, and she won't either let them rest or get away. Just then, a miracle happened, the thing fell into her department, and it was Scorpio. Thanks to him, I took a flee from the Vees. I have drawn by the act of freedom, Eatos and Scorpio found me and brought me to the hotel."

Monica's memories flood back: first, she managed to avoid deals with the Overlords, including Velvette, who tried to force her into the fashion department. Second, she spoke with employees abused by Velvette's attitude towards fashion. Third, another Overlord crashed into Velvette's department, causing her to flee from the Vees, and it turned out to be Scorpio, whom Monica had met first. Finally, Monica encountered Eatos and Scorpio, who provided her shelter at the Hazbin Hotel.

Monica got called from the unknown caller on her phone, she secretly took it out and whispered to the caller.

"Hola. Yes? My training today? Okay, I'll be there shortly, it won't be long." Monica spoke and hung up the phone.

Before she opened the door to leave, Vaggie stopped her.

"Hold it there! Where are you going?" Vaggie asked her, making Monica turn around to her.

"I am going to someplace for me to train." Monica answered nervously.

"Train? When was the last time did you got training? Who trained you?" Vaggie asked, narrowing her eye in suspicion carefully and drawing out her spear.

"There's one thing you don't get it. I just want to improve my fighting skills. I'm starting to get rusty today." Monica said.

"Vaggie." Scorpio came in. "Trust me. She is all good hands for us, and I would allow her."

"Thanks, Scorpio." Monica smiled briefly as she left the hotel.

"Scorpio, are you okay letting her go?" Vaggie asked with an unsure look.

"She has someone to look after her, don't worry." Scorpio said.

"Who could it be?" Vaggie asked.

"I think you are familiar with the greatest weapon dealer in all of Hell." Scorpio said.

"Wait, Carmine?!" Vaggie grew her shocked look.

Morbius seemly opened the portal behind them. "Is everything's alright in here?"

"Morbius, you're here." Vaggie stepped toward him. "Monica is heading out for training with Carmine..."

"Carmilla Carmine? Oh, her? I'm also running into her." Morbius responded.

"You too?" Vaggie asked with a baffled expression.

"Long story short, her daughters brought me to see Carmilla after I got away from Vox." Morbius told her.

"Vox?!" Vaggie shouted, having caught the others' attention including Charlie, Niffty, Husk, Angel, Sir Pentious and even Alastor.

"Don't you worry. I barely escaped from him." Morbius said.

"You supposed to listen my warning, didn't ya?" Husk asked.

"Do tell us. How'd you get away from Vox?" Alastor inquired.
