Chapter 34 - Bronzautista and Morbius! Rescue Operation Commence!

(Sanctuary Treatment Center – Main Chamber)

Morbius equipped the Holy Beowulf, while Lute and Colton stood there and watched him putting on the armor suit and gauntlets.

"You're gonna use the Holy Ascension Weapon? I never knew how you obtain it." Lute told him.

"Apparently won't use in a while. But the mission is dangerous, so I thought in my mind to bring it with me." Morbius replied, turning his head at the God's Eye.

The golden mechanism globe displayed the Alcatraz Island where the prisoners are held captive somewhere beneath the island. The group consisting of humans, imps, and hellhounds. Along with few commanders were Jezra Nox and Corvan Stroud.

Jezra Nox is 5th Division Commander, serving under the command of Dreadbeard.

Her skin is a pale ivory that almost glows under dim light, contrasted by her blood-red eyes with diamond-shaped pupils and a faint underglow. When she dons her Devil Mask, she has a smooth porcelain-like visage with sharp fang patterns and crimson tear marks — her features shift: her fangs elongate, claws form on her fingers, and her aura becomes steeped in black mist that pulses like a heartbeat.

Her hair is long and flowing, a silken raven-black mane with streaks of maroon, cascading to her knees and often curling into misty ends. She wears it loose, occasionally tied by a silver chain when in combat. Her horns resemble curved bat wings, polished obsidian with streaks of ruby glimmering through them.

Her outfit is a gothic corset-jacket with a high-collared cape split into four jagged batwing flaps, a black cravat pinned by a blood-red gem, and tight leggings tucked into thigh-high heeled boots with metal talon toes. Silver chains and gothic lace accentuate her silhouette.

Corvan Stroud positioned himself as 4th Division Commander on behalf of Dreadbeard himself.

He's a tall, lean marksman with sharp posture and a stoic expression — his skin faintly pale, his hair ash-blond with one streak of ghostly blue. His eyes glow spectral cyan when using his powers, with black sclera and thin concentric circles around his pupils like a scope's reticle.

He wears a half-buttoned naval trench coat, torn at the edges and embroidered with ghostly motifs. Across his chest hangs an ammo bandolier of glowing spectral bullets, and on his back rests a massive, long-barreled flintlock rifle named Soulpiercer. His coat's inside lining flickers with faint blue flame patterns, especially when he phases through walls or objects.

Nevertheless, his lower right arm and part of his face can become translucent, a ghostly effect indicating his Devil Fruit transformation.

"Whoa, who are they?" Colton asked.

"The two commanders serving under Dreadbeard on the pirate crew, no doubt about them." Lute answered.

"I can say these guys were tough." Colton said.

"They are, since they position themselves as Division Commanders. Jezra Nox, known as Blood Countess, belongs to 5th Division of Dreadbeard Pirates. Expert on infiltration and assassination. Jezra plays the role of a refined noblewoman while reveling in combat's chaos. She possessed the Devil Mask, the Bloodveil Mask which granted her powers as vampire. Blood absorption, enhanced speed and mist transformation, also turning into a swarm of blood bats for her battlefield advantage. And next one is 'Deadeye' Corvan Stroud, positioning as 4th Division Commander and long-known member of the pirate crew. He is skilled in sniping with long-ranging warfare and flawless accurate. He ate the Devil Fruit; Phantom Phantom Fruit, turning himself a ghost, easy to kill the target while to stay hidden and able to pass through the solid walls." Morbius explained. "I have to go there myself."
