Chapter 27

Mercedes P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of iMessage dinging nonstop.

Squinting at the shining light pouring though Ky's huge bedroom window I grabbed my phone to see what all the noise was about.

3 new messages from João Felix

"heyy"

"i'm going to be in town soon. let's meet up?"

"lmk"

I pursued my lips contemplating.

Me: "i'll lyk soon."

I shut my phone off immediately going back under the covers and drifted off to sleep again.

When I woke up this time , Ky was gone and when I checked my phone, instead of it being just João ,who filled my screen , it was Ky too.

"i left for practice mon amour. i'll be home by 3. love you"

I replied back with a heart and let him know I'd be waiting for him back home.

I briefly clicked on Joao's messages and came up with a quick reply since I wasn't too interested on what he had to say.

He was talking about how he was going to be in Barca for a few days but I could care less.

I know I made a lot of fucked up mistakes in my past like sleeping around but I was going through a rough time in my life.

And sleeping around helped me forget about Ky , which is why I would even do it in the first place.

But now that we're together I couldn't be happier and I didn't want to do anything to compromise our relationship.

So I ignored João's next few set of texts and got up to change into some of Kylian's clothes and left to my house.

Kylian P.O.V

Training today was miserable.

I had the worst pain in my back and I didn't know if it was from all those scratches Mercedes gave me last night or from todays drills.

I requested a timeout so I could go rest in the locker room not knowing that Pedri and his little friend were in there.

"Are you always taking all these free breaks." Pedri snorted looking at his friend who proceeded to laugh.

I ignored him not wanting any trouble today since I already wasn't in a good mood.

And when I got mad it usually ended up in a physical fight so I walked past the two best friends snickering and into the showers to cool off before I headed home.

I came home to an empty house and the lights closed.

"I guess she left." I thought, taking off my jacket and plopping down onto the couch.

I extended my legs onto the table in front of me and texted Mercedes asking her where she was.

She told me she was at her house and that she would be over later so I took a quick nap before seeing her again.

Today was a really slow day for me besides the fact that Joao kept reminding me that we "agreed" to hang.

I eventually caved in and decided to spend a few hours with him while he was here.

He told me all about how he joined Chelsea and how he loved playing for the team.
