The Wrong Impression
Visera woke up by herself, this is how it normally was when Aemond would stay in her chambers. He would always leave before Visera woke. She stood and walked to the window overlooking the ocean. Her chambers door opens, and Florence entered with two others. " your father has requested your presence, princess."
With a nod she moved to the platform next to the window so Florence could help her dress. The other fixed her bed and other things Visera didn't pay attention to. Usually she would help Florence but Visera's mind was else where.
Aemond.
She had noticed she had thought about him more than she probably should, she didn't know why though.
" princess are you alright?" Florence questioned after noticing she wasn't listening to the dream Florence had and was telling her about. Something about her and her husband.
" how many times do I have to tell you to call me Visera?" She asked while looking at her through the mirror.
" don't avoid the question Visera." Visera playfully rolled her eyes just as Florence finished dressing her. "I'm fine Flo."
" I have known you since you were a babe Visera, I know there's something wrong." She pointed out. Visera sighed knowing she could not lie to her friend.
So she nodded her head to the other girls then to the door, hoping Florence understood her.She must have because she told the other girls she could finish the rest. Once they exited the room, Visera waited a few minutes letting them get out of earshot.
" I've been having thoughts." Visera hesitated looking down to her feet. " about someone."
Florence raised her eyebrows at the girl. " what kind of thoughts?" Florence asked not wanting to push the girl, seeing out how she was already nervous.
Visera gave her a knowing look to which Florence smirked, she had not expected that from the princess. Visera moved her eye to look down, to nervous to look her handmaiden in the eye again.
" that is not a bad thing." She laughed sarcastically, and finally look up into Florence's eyes.
" in my case it is." She stated leaving Florence speechless.
The chamber door opened Ser Gerald emerged in a hurry. " the king is getting impatient princess."
Visera nodded before looking to Florence who stood in a daze.
Visera walked around the corner in a hurry, but crashed into someone. " oh gods, I'm sorry." She quickly replied before trying to rush around them not wanting to anger her father further.
But the person grabbed her shoulders stopping her, causing her to look up at the person.
" Lord Lannister."
" Princess."
" I'm sorry for bumping into you Ser." She said trying to go around him again but he still had ahold of her shoulders.
" it's alright dear." He said with a smirk, making a shiver run down Visera spine. With a nod she tried to move again but he would not let her.
" my father is awaiting my presence lord, if I keep him waiting he will be angry." She said starting to panic. She did not like the way he made the hair stand up on the back of her neck.
Lord Jason went to say something but a voice called for Visera. " Princess!" She looked down the hall to see Ser Criston Cole.
She let out a sigh of relief, and turned to the knight. "The king wishes to see you at once."
" Ser, I was on my way but I ran into Lord Lannister." She explained not wishing to get scolded.
" I am sure the king will understand, I will escort you." He said extending his hand, which she grabbed wanting to get far away from the Lannister.
When the Council Rooms door opened she noticed her mother sat next to her father who sat at the head of the table, her grand sire stood behind the king and Aemond sat Infront of their mother.
'Why was Aemond here?' She thought
" Glad to see you decided to join us." The king shouted causing Visera to flinch. Which didn't go unnoticed by Aemond and Alicent, who both clenched their jaws.
" my apologies your grace, I ran into Lord Lannister." She said while taking a seat beside Aemond. " I thought he was meant to be sent home, father?" She questioned trying to change the subject.
She saw Him look at her grand sire before turing to her with a slight smile. " Lord Lannister and I have business to attend to."
She just nodded not wanting to push the matter, she look over at her mother who was as pale as snow. Before she could ask if she was alright the king interrupted.
" now I must ask you a question." He said looking between his children.
" Aemond was seen leaving your chambers at first light, why?" He asked with his hands held together.
She saw Aemond's hesitation out of the corner of her eyes, she knew he didn't want to come off weak so she lied. " I asked him to come into my chambers, I had a terrible dream and I wished for comfort." She felt Aemond's eye on her, then his hand squeeze hers. And her heart started to race at the small interaction making her confused.
By the small smile on his face she figured the gesture was a thank you.
" you mustn't continue that, it would give the wrong impression." Alicent spoke up for the first time, looking to her children with a soft smile, unlike Viserys.
" sorry mother, we won't." They both say at the same time.
" very good, Aemond you may leave." The king spoke as Aemond nodded and squeezed Visera's hand once more before leaving the room.
" Ser Lucian Tyrell has requested to spend the day with you my dear."
