Ingredients

⁃ ½ Cup Shortening

⁃ ¾ Cup Sugar

⁃ 1 Egg

⁃ ½ Cup Orange Juice

⁃ 2 Tablespoons grated orange rind

⁃ 2 Cups Flour

⁃ ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder

⁃ ½ Teaspoon Baking Soda

⁃ ½ Teaspoon Salt

Frosting Ingredients

⁃ 1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar

⁃ 2 Teaspoons Orange Rind

⁃ 1 Tablespoon Orange Juice

⁃ 3 Tablespoons Soft Butter

Directions

⁃ Preheat oven to 400

⁃ Mix together shortening, sugar, and egg.

⁃ Stir in orange juice and rind

⁃ Blend in flour, baking powder, soda, and salt

⁃ Drop by spoonfuls onto un greased cookie sheet

⁃ Bake for 8-10 min

⁃ Blend ingredients for icing

⁃ Frost with orange icing
