CHAPTER THREE: LUNCH

Nikki looked at her uncle and decided to go. So she followed  her uncle to the company's restaurant.

"So how have you been doing this past few days?. It's so sad that we lost your father to an unfortunate incident. It's breaks my heart when I remember how he died such an unfortunate death." Nikki replied  "I've been coping quite well for the past few days though."

A man walked up their table and said  "Good day Mr Vice Chairman and who might this ....... beautiful lady be?. Nikki looked at the man and could tell that he was a flatterer.He wore a black slim fit suit, ash conduroy trousers and a pair of black leather derbys.

Mr. Rufus replied the man "this is my late brother's daughter Nikki, Nikki this is W.E.Ls General Manager his name is Pedro Khan.The man looked  at Nikki and extends his hand for an handshake. Nikki handshaked the man he looked at her and said  "Nikki,that's a beautiful name," "thanks" Nikki said.

"Can I join you Sir?" the GM asked. "Of course you can" Mr Rufus said , as he sat down his Rolex watch gleamed. Nikki wondered if people ever asked both parties in a situation before taking an action. She of course didn't want him there but she could do nothing.

Nikki was thinking when Pedro interrupted her thoughts. "Accept my condolence, it was such a sorrowful parting.Your father was my mentor I was so sad and shocked at his untimely demise." Nikki wondered if some people were poets, because she could tell it wasn't genuine and this young man wasn't even close to her Dad and her Dad wasn't any body's mentor.

"Well he is gone ,isn't he? I just want to be a wealthy heiress." "Don't you feel sad for your father" Pedro asked . "Didn't you know I and my Dad didn't have a good relationship? whenever I came home we were always fighting like cats and dogs. I just want to be a wealthy heiress" Nikki said .

Both Pedro and Rufus looked at her shocked. Rufus replied her "you shouldn't resent your father even now." They ordered Creamy squash risotto with toasted pepita's, Grilled scallops with creamed corn, Pork chops with celery and almond salad.

Nikki looked at her watch it was 1:35pm, She was halfway through her creamed corn."Uncle I've got to go see you later" she said as she stood up. "Oh,you're going? Pedro asked her."Yes I am" she replied  "bye uncle". "Why don't you wait? let me drive you home" Pedro said. Nikki looked  at him and said  "that won't be necessary" her uncle bids her farewell.

At Nikki father's Mansion, Nikki went to her Dad's room she walked around the room and looked  at a large photo of her father and said "I've come late,haven't I?".She walked to the drawer beside her father's bed and saw a flashdrive. She took the flashdrive and went to her room.

In her room she sat on her bed and opened her laptop, she plugged in the flashdrive and played  the video inside.
