finley's pov

"you know that you're to old for us to give you an allowance right?" gran asked. "yes I know, I'm gonna look for a job," I said. "alright, if you need me to help you out you let me know alright hun?" she said. "thanks gran," I smiled and kissed her head.

"the guys are coming over soon, they wanted to play poker and claim your chips are better than theirs," I said. "ok, don't do anything I wouldn't do," she said and grabbed her keys. "I'm gonna go run some errands, see you later hun," she said and kissed my head as she walked out.

I went upstairs to change out of my pajamas, even tho it was 5 pm, but as I grabbed my jeans I laid in bed instead. I was to lazy to get dressed. brushing my teeth and hair was enough for me. "gray? you in here?"

my door opened and dally walked in. "sorry, I was just about to come down," I said. "nah me and sodapop are the only ones here, sodapop your girl is up here!" he said and walked away as soda walked in. "hi beautiful," he said with a huge smile on his face and laid next to me. "hi," I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"if you two are gonna fuck I'm gonna eat your chips!"
dally yelled. "we aren't but eat whatever you want!" I yelled back. sodapop frowned and I raised an eyebrow. "horny little bastard," I said. "I'm kidding," he said and laughed innocently. "have you ever wondered what it would be like if monkeys took over the world?" he asked. I stared at him blankly.

"what the hell sodapop?" I laughed. "no, but hear me out, what if aliens invaded the planet and were like animals to them so they treated us like pets," I said. "how would we be treated like pets if we can talk?" he asked. "well what if they just can't understand us like we can't understand animals?" I asked.

"woah," he whispered. I started laughing and heard the door downstairs open. "come on, let's go get the cards," I said.

"jesus christ how are you so good?" dally asked. "I learned from the best," I replied. "now give me your money,"

"hey guys sorry I'm late, brought a couple friends hope that's ok," two-bit said walking in. "this is kathy and her friend grace," he said. "nice to meet you guys," I smiled. they all found seats and we played a few more rounds. grace could not keep her paws off of my boyfriend.

sodapop was clearly uncomfortable but to nice to say so. "what time is it?" I asked. "7:30," darry said. I nodded. "so sodapop, you work at the dx right? I've seen you around there a couple times," grace said. "yes I do," he said. "that's pretty cool, I've been thinking about getting a job, how much do they pay?" she asked. "not enough, you should probably look somewhere else, I heard dingo pays well," I said.

"I'll look into that," she smiled, clearly annoyed with me. I smiled innocently at her. "cat fight," dally whispered and I kicked him underneath the table.

"hey you guys hungry? I can call and order some pizza," sodapop said standing up. "I'm starving," grace said. "and clearly thirsty," I mumbled. "what was that?" she asked. "nothing," I smiled. "I'll take a pepperoni, here," I said and stood up and followed sodapop to the phone. "somebody is jealous," he whispered. "it isn't my fault she's all over," I whispered back.

"oh gray, you don't think I'd ever go for anybody other than you, do you?" he winked. my cheeks went warm and I tried not to smile. "I love you, finley," he said and kissed my head. "I'll shut her down,"

"I love you too," I smiled and sat back down. "so finley I heard you're from london, you just visitin?" grace asked, chomping obnoxiously on her gum. "no, I live here now," I replied. "shame," she said. "heh," I scoffed. "damn," steve said. "I'm gonna go for a walk, don't break anything," I said and walked out. I went to a nearby park and sat on a bench.

there was a basketball on the ground and I grabbed it, despite knowing nothing about american sports. I bounced it on the ground and shot it at the hoop.

"ooo, airball," I turned and soda was standing there. "sorry, just couldn't be around her," I said. "I don't think two-bit meant to upset ya, just wanted to bring kathy, I'm sorry," he said. "no don't be sorry at all, it isn't your fault," I said. "she's just a...well bitch," I said. "oh gray, I think you're just jealous," he said. "I am not," I replied.

"I shut her down the second you left," he said. "I might've been a little jealous, I'm sorry," I said. "oh don't be sorry, princess," he walked closed and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"it just means you care," he said. "I do, a lot," I said. "I love you, finley gray," he said. "say it again," I smiled. "I love you," he said. I giggled like a little kid. "I love you too sodapop curtis,"

i know this is a short chapter but i haven't updated in five ever i'm so sorry i've had a lot going on, but i'll try to update more...<3
