THIRD PERSON POV:

Today was the day that Kaveh would finally come home after 2 months that felt like years to Alhaitham. Right when he finished eating breakfast, he had a knock on the door.

"Hey Alhaitham." Tighnari said as he walked inside. With Cyno, Collei, and Nilou coming in behind him.

"Hey."

They all noticed the excitement coming from his voice as he said that.

"Seems like someone ready for Kaveh to come home." Tighnari said.

"Yes, I am. I can't lie." Alhaitham said with a smile appearing on his face.

"We brought decorations and ingredients for a cake." Cyno said as he took the supplies and ingredients from Nilou and Collei.

"This I'd all too much, but I'll try to make use of the ingredients for the cake." Alhaitham said as he grabbed the ingredients from Cyno and went to put them on the counter.

"You should bake and decorate the cake, Alhaitham." Nilou said as she took out the decorations for the house and began working on the welcome home sign.

"I never really baked before." Alhaitham said, rubbing his neck.

"Tighnari can help he's good at baking." Cyno said, not realizing the amount of embarrassment he just put of Tighnari.

"You're good at baking Tighnari?" Alhaitham asked .

"Yes, I am." Tighnari said while hiding his face within his tail to hide the blush.

Tighnari walked over to Alhaitham and gave him instructions on how to make the cake and how long to bake it. But the decoration of the cake was completely up to Alhaitham. There was a slight problem with the decoration of the cake being left to him he wasn't creative. If there was something that required creativity, then he would've asked kaveh for help. Despite knowing that kaveh wasn't going to be here until after everything was done or at least that was what Tighnari said, he had some time to get some inspiration on how he was going decorate the cake.

"Do you guys have any ideas on how I should decorate the cake?" Alhaitham asked, hoping to get a useful answer from one of them.

"Nope. It's your job to come up with a design for the cake." Nilou replied.

"I'm not good at decorating anything." Alhaitham said, defeated.

"Just think of something to draw onto the cake with this." Nilou said as she pointed to the icing tube.

"Okay."

After 45 minutes of putting up the decorations and decorating the cake, they were finished. Alhaitham had put the cake into the refrigerator to keep it from going bad before kaveh got home. Alhaitham had decided to go out and buy some extra flowers and some of Kaveh's favorite foods. He decided that today would be the day that he would confess his love for kaveh.

After an hour of shopping, Alhaitham went home and saw a text on his phone from Cyno and Tighnari saying that Kavehn had just woke up. Upon seeing this text, Alhaitham had to hurry to finish the dinner and the note for Kaveh's return.

A knock on the door was heard, and Alhaitham had opened it to reveal Kaveh.

"Welcome home, Kaveh." Alhaitham said, trying his hardest not to cry at the sight of the love of his life right in front of him.

"Thank you Alhaitham you did all of this just for me?" Kaveh asked while looking at all of the decorations and the food on the table.

"Yes, but not by myself. I had help from Nilou. Cyno, Collei, and Tighnari."

"Alhaitham..." Kaveh said as he began to blush at the sight of his 'home'.

As they began to walk to the kitchen, Alhaitham slipped the note he made for Laveh into his pocket as Kaveh began to eat the food that Alhaitham made for him.

"What happened while I was in a coma?" Kaveh asked.

"Well, if you really want to know what happened over the period of 2 months, I'll tell you, but you have to read it first." Alhaitham said while handing Kaveh the note. Kaveh could easily tell Alhaitham was nervous because of how shaky his hands were while handing him the note.

These past 2 months wothout you felt like 2 decades. I was so used to the noise that when it finally got quiet, I wanted it to be noisy. I missed the sight of you. I missed hearing your never-ending complaining sessions. I missed you. Kaveh, when you read this letter I wrote to you, I want you to know that I love you. And I will never do anything to hurt you.

"Alhaitham... I love you too." Kaveh said as tears fell down his face. Alhaitham walked over the blonde and gently kissed him on the lips. Which was a feeling that both of them wanted for a long time.

"I love you, Kaveh." Alhaitham said he kissed Kaveh's hand.

"I love you too, Haitham." Kaveh said.

"You remembered the nickname you gave me when we were kids."

"Of course I remember silly."

Silly was also one of the many nicknames he gave Alhaitham when they were little.

"Just because we are dating doesn't mean you can call me that nickname."

"Awww. You're still boring."

Alhaitham chuckled as he brought Kaveh's into his arms. This feeling was something Alhaitham hadn't felt in 17 years. And to think that he would feel it again with the person he loved since he was 12 is even more exhilarating than he thought it would be.

"This is all I ever wanted since week 2."

"What was?" Kaveh asked while resting his head on Alhaitham's chest.

"To hold you in my arms, tell you that I love you, and to make sure that nothing like that ever happens to you again." Alhaitham said while gently rubbing his finger through Kaveh's hair. Alhaitham noticed that Kaveh was sleeping. He picked him up and placed him into the bed and put the leftover food in the fridge. He went back to his bedroom to lay bedside his childhood best friend, which he could now call his lover.

"Goodnight, Kaveh." Alhaitham said as he gently placed a kiss on Kaveh's head.
