Temporary Enemy

False accusations

Al-Haitham had just finished cooking breakfast for both himself and Kaveh. When he realized Kaveh was going to be late for work if he didn’t wake  up soon. He walked into the bedroom to see Kaveh still knocked out on the bed.

“Kaveh, you’re going to be late.”

“Haitham…Let me sleep.”

“Kaveh you have to go to work.” For some reason, as soon as Kaveh heard that statement, he shot up out of bed and ran to the bathroom to get himself ready.

“Breakfast is on the table, Kaveh.” Al-Haitham said as he took his keys and left. Kaveh walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. He ate his breakfast that Al-Haitham cooked for him.

Kaveh arrived at his workplace only to see it a complete mess. This didn’t bother him much, but he did bother him was that his blueprint for a building was ruined. This was one of the worst starts to the day he ever had. He had quickly rushed to redesign it and to his surprise it did not take long however the client that paid him to design something for his wedding came into his workplace and asked if he could add some decorations to the designs.

“Kaveh, is it alright if I could add some flora decorations to the design?”

“Of course.”

They talked for about 3 hours about where the flowers could go. After the client had left, he incorporated these ideas into the actual design when he was finished with it. However, his work day was nowhere close to being done. He went to Gandharva Vill to find Tighnari and ask about what flowers are safe and which ones to use for his client's design.

“What is the design for?”

“It’s an abhor for my clients wedding.”

“Okay, I’ll write down a list of flowers that are typically used in a wedding. You and your client can decide which flowers to use. These are all safe flowers, but your client needs to ensure that no one that is attending the wedding has an allergic reaction to the flowers.”

“Got it. Thank Tighnari.”

“Anytime Kaveh.”

Kaveh had left Gandhavra Vill and went back to his workplace to find his client standing there.

“Hey, Kaveh, I created a list of flowers to use in the design.” The client said as he handed Kaveh the list. During the time Kaveh was studying in the Akademiya, he read a book about flowers that can be found anywhere in Teyvat, so he knows which flowers are dangerous. He read over the list and saw that most of the flowers were dangerous to use.

“These flowers aren’t safe to use, I mean yeah they’ll look good at the wedding, but wouldn’t you rather be safe?”

“Kaveh, I am paying you to put what I want in the design.”

Kaveh didn’t know what he was getting himself into, but he knew it wouldn’t end well if he went with the client's choice of flowers. But he needed to pay off the debt he owed Dori soon. So he went with the client's choice of flowers.

A few months later something terrible happened at the wedding. It was all over the news, and people had blamed Kaveh. He went to find Tighnari to explain what had happened. Al-Haitham was in the living room and decided to read the newspaper. When he saw that multiple people had died at a wedding because of dangerous flowers that ‘Kaveh had chosen’ he knew something wasn’t right about this and decided to ask Kaveh about when he got home.

“Kaveh I thought I gave you a list.”

“You did, but my client gave me a list of flowers that he wanted. He brought up the fact that he is paying me for what he wants. He also said that Dori would plan something if I don’t pay off my debt soon.”
