𝐇arry wanted nothing more than to break into the room. She was so close. His heartbeat doubled its pace as he swiveled his head towards his ex-nemesis.

"Let me see her."

Draco blinks, surprised by the obvious desperation in front of him. He grins slyly with nothing more than a silly thought. "Well," he nonchalantly begins while walking around Potter, "I can open the door."

Harry brightens up.

"If," Malfoy stops his pace, "you kneel before me." He grins from ear to ear at the prospect.

"That's absolutely ludicrous!" Hermione shouts.

"Don't fall for that bastard's tricks, Harry!" Ron adds furiously.

Harry pauses. His immediate thought was to reject Malfoy's proposition. Kneel down before your arch-nemesis? That's asking for humiliation beyond eternity. He'd rather insult a Hippogriff than do that...

... but what then?

Rejecting the offer was the same as deciding that Cassiopeia wasn't worth humiliating for, much less sacrificing. Harry couldn't do that to her. It would kill him.

"Bloody hell..."

Harry dropped on one knee slowly before doing the same to the other.

"Please," he begs, "let me see her."

Draco stares jaw-dropped. Hermione and Ron too.

"You're actually mad," Malfoy says in shock.

"This is nothing." Harry looks up at Draco. "I need to see her."

"Fine," the blonde cedes. He shifts to the wall and touches it with the tip of his wand. "Aperi mihi."

The wall glows and a million doors move around frantically. Draco takes a step back and tells them, "whatever you do, don't make a sound."
