"As of right now in the real world, your friends have found you helplessly passed out on the floor," he says with certainty. "I can see the one with glasses really panicking over your body." There is a slight giggle that erupts. "What a joke love is. It's only a door that opens up to irrevocable pain."

"Love?!" Cass bursts incredulously. "That's preposterous."

The transparent figure gleams. "If you say so. Regardless, no one in the library will make it alive tonight. Since you have no notion of 'love' it will be a less painful series of events. Well, it's not like you'll live long enough to grieve."

"Why must you do this?" Cass questions helplessly. "Why go so far the punish innocent generations of our-"

"I AM NOT A PART OF YOUR FILTHY BLOODLINE!" He roared. "NEGLECT, ABUSE, ENDLESS PUNISHMENT! THAT IS WHAT THE SUNG FAMILY IS BUILT UPON, AND I WILL NEVER REST UNTIL I END IT WITH MY BLOODY HANDS!" In the midst of his angry outburst, high shelves of books are sent tumbling down like dominoes, one block falling onto another. The impact or the old wooden structures create an ungodly echo of wailing throughout the chamber.

Once the library has completely crumbled, he speaks barely above a whisper. "I will have my revenge, and centuries of failed attempts have led me to this moment."

Cassiopeia drops to the cold wooden floor in defeat. Her body slumps as the pieces have come together. There is no escape. "Why me?"

"Life isn't fair," her ancestor dismisses. "I'll do whatever it takes to get my revenge." He moves in closer. "With this cursed bloodline, it's better to end it forever. The world is better off without the lives of traitors and filth."

He floats around Cassiopeia's sunken body, scrutinizing her and the tears that slip down her cheeks.

"There are multiple ways to end this bloodline." He says offhandedly. "I have offered it to many of your predecessors."

"What is it?" Cassiopeia asks hopefully. Perhaps...?

"You shall kill your family yourself. That or I will do it myself and all your friends that are in this bloody estate."

Her heart stopped. It was as if time were suspended and the only thing that remaining was the soul-tearing drop of her core like it was lead.

"Choose, Cassiopeia." Her ancestor goads.

"I give you five seconds."
