When Y/n arrived home, she set up the tv and turned it on. Putting on Welcome Home out of curiosity, and when she did, the intro started playing which was different than she ever heard. The music gave off a lot of Disney musical vibes which made her smile at the nostalgia.

When the show started playing, she immediately saw Wally who appeared to be reading a newspaper and his 'home' making a lot of sounds, seemingly speaking in onomatopoeia to Wally. His voice now sounded a bit different than when she met him, sounding a bit odder than before.

"Ah, hello neighbor! Another lovely day!" Wally addressed the viewer, his eyes looking directly into the camera. Y/n couldn't help but giggle a little, the eye contact feeling a bit funnier than in real life.

That whole night Y/n didn't get any sleep because she was so passionate about watching the show. Now, she practically already knew all the neighbors just from the tv screen, well, most of them at least. The night was long and she got through two seasons, even a pride month special which was heavily entertaining. The show almost felt like the muppets mixed with blues clues but with all the cast being real-life people.

The next morning was now a Saturday, and the nice friendly residents were up early. Julie was walking a cute pomeranian in the yard, Frank watering the garden with Eddie cooking in the kitchen. Wally took his typical morning stroll, seeing Mara place then Y/n.

"Goodness! Y/n, did you sleep okay?" Wally asked when he walked past and came to a halt. Seeing Y/n looking exhausted. "I didn't sleep at all," Y/n admitted, her voice weak. Wally looked at Y/n with concern. "Y/n, sleep is vital." He warned, "Well aware, I stayed up late last night watching a show I heard you were a part of. Definitely gave a lot of nostalgic memories." Y/n said, Wally looked at her in surprise.

"You stayed up all night just to watch my show?" Wally questioned, Y/n nodded. "Don't worry too much, I'm going to grab a coffee once Mara's Coffee Shop opens." Y/n smiled. Wally wasn't having it. "You sure?" Wally asked in a stern angry tone which caught the attention of Y/n quickly.

"Yes, Wally," Y/n replied, her voice sounding annoyed. "Get some sleep." "No, I can make my own choices," Y/n replied stubbornly, walking down the street toward the coffee shop. Wally quickly walked with her, "Why are you following me now?" Y/n asked.

"To make sure you don't pass out on the concrete princess." Wally replied, "Don't call me princess please, I don't like it." Y/n stated. Wally looked at her in curiosity, "Why not?" "Because my father called me that and we aren't in contact anymore."

Wally stayed silent after that, the whole walk was silent until they reach Mara's Coffee Shop. When they entered, Mara perked up. "Early customers already! Splendid!" She exclaimed, her range startling Y/n, quickly covering her ears at the loudness. Wally standing beside her and holding her shoulders to make sure she didn't fall over. Mara quickly realized her rang and quickly apologized. "I'm so sorry. Shoot, I just can't seem to keep my voice at a steady range." Mara said, her voice now I bit lower.

"Well, never mind me, what can I get yall?" Mara asked, trying to keep the mood light and happy. Both Wally and Y/n looked at Mara, smiling happily. "The usual." They both said in unison which made Mara giggle. "Sure thing."

The two of them sat down, Wally sitting beside Y/n while he read his book and she was on her phone. "What book are you reading?" Y/n asked him, "Maximum Ride, about scientific experiments done to them and they all have wings as a result, they're like a flock, but they're trying to escape their experimenters." Wally replied. "Oh, cool, I read the manga of that series, it's pretty good." Y/n smiled.

"Manga?" Wally asked curiously, "Yep, technically, it's like a comic book adaption of the actual book itself is all." Y/n replied. "Interesting, but no thank you," Wally replied, returning to his reading. "You loss." Y/n shrugged. Y/n yond and started to dose off, eventually passing out and landing her head on his shoulder which made him flinch a little at the unexpected. Mara walked over and noticed what was happening, seeing Y/n flopping over on Wally's shoulder.

"Do I need to put these away for later?" Mara asked Wally quietly, Wally looked at her and only smiled. "I'll take mine but put hers away please, it looks like I'm going to be here for a while," Wally replied softly so as to not wake up Y/n. Mara nodded and gave him his drink then took Y/n's drink back with her. Wally sighed and looked at Y/n who laid on his shoulder, smiling softly before soon returning to his book.
