"Wally, hurry up! Your lady is waiting on you," Home whined while Sally laughed at his impatientness. "Relax, he's trying to hurry as you can't tell," Sally defended as she watched Wally quickly pack his things neatly as he could. Y/n knocked on the door and it opened on its own, making her freak out. "THE FUCK!?" She cried, Sally closed her eyes in annoyance. Y/n noticed and apologized for being loud.

"Also, how the fuck did that open on its own?" Y/n questioned as she entered Wally's house, looking cautiously at the door as she entered. "Wally didn't tell you?" Sally questioned, Y/n looked at her in curiosity. "Tell me what?" She questioned in suspicion.

"Yeah Sally, tell her what exactly?" Wally asked as well, "I think Home opened the door for Y/n and it freaked her out, you didn't tell her about your place?" Sally asked him, Y/n looked back at him and cocked an eyebrow. "No, no I didn't. But I will now."

"Y/n, Home is sentient and living compared to the other places in Lovejoy, that's why I'm leaving them with Sally while we're gone," Wally explained, Y/n looked at him, a bit surprised but smiled. "Cool." "Cool?" Wally questioned, a bit taken aback by her response, "Yeah, but a bit creepy knowing they're watching you all the time," She stated while going beside him and helping him with his bags. "Your not wrong, but gotta keep him in line sometimes," Home spoke to her, making her look around. "You heard that too?"

"Yep, he speaks through telepathy but physically it's in onomatopoeia," Sally stated, Y/n smiled, "Anyone else needs to know or just knows in general?" She questioned. "No, no one else needs to know except us but Barnaby, Sally, you, and I know," Wally said as he grabbed the rest of his bags. "Bye Sally, Take care of Home please," Wally waved, leaving out the door with his things with Y/n by his side.

"Ready to get going? We have an entire two days to travel," Wally smiled at her, Y/n blushed softly and nodded. Y/n got in the car and buckled up while Wally got in on the driver's side, turning the car on and preparing to drive out. He waved to Sally and Home, and Sally waved back while Home waved by opening and closing one of the shutters on the window. Y/n got comfortable and got her iPhone, hooking it up to the car's stereo system and playing some lo-fi beats. "Want to grab some stuff to snack on before we get farther out?" Y/n asked him, and he nodded.

She smiled and a few minutes passed until she called out to the nearest gas station to fill up and grab snacks with him driving into the gas station. "What do you want to eat?" Y/n questioned him as he pumped the gas, "Just get me a Dr. Pepper and I'll be good," Wally replied, she nodded and walked into the store. Went to those see-through fridges and grabbed two Dr. Pepper while she grabbed an energy drink for the day, maybe even more, 'I really need to restrict myself..." She thought as she tempted to put the other energy drinks back.

"Fuck it."

She took the energy drinks back and went to the register while the cashier gave her an eyebrow in amusement. "What?" She asked, setting all the items down for him to scan. "Oh nothing~ Just wondering why would you need that many energy drinks." He stated while she gave him a glare, startling him a little with her look. "Because I can jerk," She replied sternly, with him quickly scanning her things and telling her the total, she happily paid and went back to the car.

"Someone's giddy," Wally smiled, Y/n laughed a little, placing her drinks in the cooler in the backseat before soon handing Wally his drink and getting her own. "Thank you," He replied, "Not a problem."

They drove off and the majority of road time was Y/n reading and listening to Beabadoobee, Queen, Abba, and a little bit of Ghost. Wally didn't mind the music since he loved Abba and Ghost. Between the few hours of the ride, Wally would glare over his shoulder for a second to see what she was doing, and soon see her zoned out and looking outside the window in fascination, loving the wilderness. Deep down, he felt fuzzy at how cute and sweet she looked. For someone so innocent looking, she had another to her which he appreciated more.

A few seconds later, a song by Ghost played called Life Eternal which was different from the other songs he heard during the car ride from the artist. The song immediately caught her attention and she smiled excitedly, turning up the volume up a bit happily but not enough to blare it through the car. "Oh! I love this song."

Wally turned back, keeping his eyes on the road, trying not to let her cuteness make his dopamine skyrocket. He wanted to say 'awwww' so many times but held it in as to not trigger her bad side and make her question him in case it sounded like he was mocking her.

More hours drove by and he was starting to get tired, looked at Y/n for a second and saw her asleep, leaning up against the door with her head against the window while her hands against her face elbow helped prop her head to stay in one spot, making him blush a little, and the sunset out the window didn't help either, making it more beautiful. Wally pulled over a second quietly to not wake her, taking a few pictures quickly before soon going back on the road.

Wally drove to the nearby town and paid for a motel for the night, waking her up and smiling softly. "C'mon, let's get you somewhere more comfortable." He smiled as he helped her out of the car, he rubbing her eyes and yawning, not completely woken up yet. He helped her lay down and covered her up once they got in the room. Smiling softly as she dozed off again into her deep slumber. "Sleep well, my beauty..."

A/n: Okay, so I know this chapter was a bit bittersweet but I was in the mood for something a bit comforting since I was listening to 'Dance with Me' by beabadoobee which made me just wanna sit by a window with hot chocolate while watching some rain. I hope you enjoyed it even though.
