Lisa bid her goodbye to Chaeyoung. She made sure that Chaeyoung won't be uncomfortable being alone in the apartment tonight. She bought her some midnight snacks and lend her laptop. Of course, Lisa didn't forgot the soju and beer.
"Don't you dare to drive if you feel drunk!" Chaeyoung shouted at the sliding window.
"I know!" Lisa shouted back. She put her helmet on and vanished at their apartment.
She was driving at the right speed just like what Chaeyoung always tell her. It was less than an hour when she arrived at Irene's house.
However, when she arrived, Irene was nowhere to be found. It was Lisa's uncle who was sweeping the floor.
"Good evening, uncle." Lisa politely greeted him.
If anything, Lisa doesn't know how to interact with him anymore. Irene's father always used to spoil her as well when she was younger but it was a different story now, she's a full grown woman.
Her uncle was standing in front of her. Lisa reached her right hand for a handshake, it was awkward because she was shy.
"What am I going to do with it?"
Lisa took it back and hide it on her back. She shook her head. Maybe her uncle had forgotten about her already and calling him with such name confuses hi-
"My child! Give me a hug!" Her uncle said with a huge grin. Her dropped the broom and stand closer to Lisa.
Lisa's heart clenched, after all these years, she was still part of the family.
"Uncle." Lisa couldn't help but to cry. He was his second father.
"Where have you been, huh?" Her uncle caressed her back.
"I didn't know it was you the first time you went here. We could have prepare something, sorry." Her uncle apologised.
"I'm- I'm sorry." Lisa cried harder. She felt guilty for leaving without bidding a goodbye.
"All good now. You're back and that's what matter the most." The man said as he let go of Lisa.
"Uncle, why aren't you scolding me?" Lisa asked. Her shyness quickly fades away.
"Why would I?" Her uncle asked.
"Because I was a selfish jerk!" Lisa stomped her feet.
"I wouldn't scold you if I know that it was for the better. Look at you now, you seemed to be in good place." Her uncle said smiling.
"I can do the scolding part, Lisa." Yeri said. She was leaning at the door frame.
"Yeri." Lisa mumbled.
Yeri walked towards her but not close enough.
"I owe you an apology." Lisa started.
"Save it. It's not like you're the only kid I played with back then." Yeri looked at her side.
"I know- but, you, the day I left you want me to go back at your house and-"
"Don't you ever do that again, leaving unnie. If that happens once more, I will hunt you. I don't care if the first time it happened because you were a kid. It's still counted." Yeri said squinting her eyes.
Lisa gulped at the threat.
"I-I heard you like chocolates, Yeri." Lisa started to search on the paper bag.
"Do you understand?" Yeri asked.
"It's almond coated with dark cho-"
"Do you understand, Lisa?" Yeri was impatiently waiting for an answer.
