"Why does Lisa haven't visited here for months?" Irene's father asked.

Irene stopped chewing her food and put down her chopsticks. She eyed Yeri and her father. They were both waiting for her answer.

"She got busy. Last time I've heard, her manager was a bit demanding of her time." Irene simply said.

"Poor Lisa. She must be tired all the time." Her father said.

"Why don't you ask her to have dinner with us? I'll go catch some fish and abalone so we can have dinner on Friday night?"

"I'll try to contact her abeoji." Irene smiled.

Irene's thought quickly swarmed by Lisa. How's Lisa doing? Where is she right now? When will she be free? When will they meet again? Because if she was being honest, she felt like she was abandoned once more.

It was already four months since Irene got home from Lisa's apartment. They both got busy, and it was hard for both of them to catch up. Lisa has always been out for field work while Irene took a sidejob.

Since then, the only communication they have was through short exchange of messages. She misses the kid. This wasn't enough for her. She wants to see Lisa in person.

"I'll wash the plates." Yeri said.

"Thanks Yeri, I'll just go out for a walk." Irene said after she helped Yeri put the used plates on the kitchen.

"Unnie, wait. Uhm." Yeri was a bit hesitant.

"Is Mr. Wang already your boyfriend?"

"No." Irene shortly said.

"But you were like- couples, right?" Yeri asked once again.

"No, Yeri."

"But he's courting you."

"We went out once because he told me he needs help for a meeting presentation only for me to know that it was a date for him. Too late to back out." Irene explained softly.

"But you like him?"

"I don't know." Irene chuckled.

"A crush? I guess? But I think I'm over it now." Irene added.

"Why are you asking me?"

"It's about Lisa. You know where I work part time- I have seen her. She didn't know I work there because I'm at the kitchen. You know- my tasks vary from time to time." Yeri started.

"I think she has a girlfriend." Yeri said. Irene laughed at her.

"She never told me anything. Also, what does Mr. Wang has to do with Lisa?" Irene stopped laughing when she noticed the seriousness in Yeri's voice.

"How can you say so?"

"I saw them kissing at the parking lot."

"I'm telling you this because it seemed that you didn't know why Lisa had no time for us." Yeri explained.

"Wait unnie, I'm not sure if it was a girlfriend or what, but I saw them kissing on the lips. I ran out after that because I was surprised."

"It's normal for her to like someone else." Irene mumbled.

"I-I'll go wash the plates now." Yeri said and went back to the kitchen.

Irene tried to call Lisa, but she wasn't answering her phone. Irene didn't know what she felt exactly, but there was a discomfort in her chest.

She didn't even know how to start speaking if Lisa had answered the call. She couldn't bring up Lisa's special someone at first ring.

That's why her heart was beating so loud in her chest when Lisa did.
