"When we were kids, I understand that you looked up with Irene. Your stories are convincing that she's your hero." Chaeyoung started as she eats her peanuts.
"But-" Chaeyoung shifted at the couch.
"But what, detective?" Lisa laughed lightly. She squeezed Chaeyoung's legs that were resting on her lap.
"Well, Lisa, after hearing how frustrated you are at the fact that she has a son and possibly a husband- it sounds like-"
"I'm not frustrated, Chaeng! I'm just surprised." Lisa explained.
Chaeyoung cleared her throat and put the peanut container at the side. She grabbed Lisa's eyeglass and put it in her own face.
"Mommy Iwene?! Does that mean she got pregnant? She built a family? Unbelievable. Does the guy even deserves her? How did she know that guy would be worth it? Huh, Chaeng?" Chaeyoung mimicked Lisa's rants earlier.
"I never said those things." Lisa said looking at her side.
"Liar. You said that in seven days in a row" Chaeyoung mumbled.
"Going back, that sounds like you like Irene?" Chaeyoung said with uncertainty.
"Like a crush." She added.
"Huh? Irene is my only unnie. I just really care for her. I have to make sure that she's with someone who isn't dangerous and mature enough to take care of her and her son." Lisa said. Chaeyoung looked at her as if what she said was funny.
"Enough about me." Lisa squeeze herself beside Chaeyoung. She was now laying on Chaeyoung's chest.
"How's your work? Do you get along with everyone?" Lisa asked.
"Hmm, I made a single friend as of now. Her name is Jisoo." Chaeyoung replied.
"Is that your colleague who you had a sleepover?"
"Yes, she's really nice. That's why I did get along with her easily. Some of the instructors were kind of old so their humor is a bit not compatible with mine. Some are sweet though but we barely had a chance to talk." Chaeyoung simply said.
"How about you? You never told me a thing about your new job." Chaeyoung asked curiously.
"Kind of boring Chaeng, but I need it to meet my ends. Nothing special." Lisa shrugged.
"Chaeng, there's a motor racing competition I want to join. Will you watch if I join?" Lisa asked worriedly. Chaeyoung stood up in front of her with an arm in her waist and her face depicts a stern no.
"You won't be joing any, Lisa! Are you crazy?" Chaeyoung scolded her.
"Don't you realise how dangerous it could be?" Chaeyoung said seriously.
"I'll wear a full gear on and I will trai-"
"No, Lisa. I'm not going to be happy about this." Chaeyoung said as her eyes shut. Did Lisa lost her mind? Have she forgot that her foster parents died because of car accident?
"O-okay. I just thought- I figured, I needed a hobby- Plus, I'm good with big bikes so-." Lisa shrugged.
"If you want a hobby then come to my class. I'll teach you how to draw and paint. If you doesn't fancy that then we have a dance class, you could do that. I'll tell them to give it to you for free." Chaeyoung said to convince Lisa.
"There's no way, you'll see me dance." Lisa said laughing to ease Chaeyoung's feelings. She knew that her bestfriend is just worried.
"That's not the point, dummy. I'm giving you safer options" Chaeyoung laughed as well.
