'He's started a band'

*Years later (like a lot)*

Michael's POV

7 Years later and i'm still not over her death. 7 years without the girl I love the most. 7 years of waking up and thinking she's next to me then crying because she's not. Her place is still left untouched, all her stuff is still here and everything she ever owned is how she left it. No girls has stepped foot in this house except my beautiful daughters. Yes one may be Luke's but we did have an agreement that since we're helping each other out we may as well both play dad. The boys have been helpful too. None of us have broke the law since the day she died. She binned everything that we owned that was illegal and by that I mean all the guns,drugs and any other types of weapons.

We all put our heads together to think of different ways to make money and have fun while doing so. Luke had this crazy idea of started a shit band. So we decided to try everything out together and it all went well. But whether we all stick with the idea and responsibility of having a band is another question.

"Daddy...You still haven't told us why we're so different from the other kids at school" Lily said and walked over with Luke and Amy behind her.

I looked at Luke and he was biting his lip. I knew they'd want to know why they don't have a mum with them now but photo's of her all over the house.

"Why does everyone else have a mum and we don't?" She said looking like she was close to tears.

I sighed thinking of a story that they'd hopefully understand.

"Well...Your mum was the most bravest women I have ever set eyes one. She was stubborn and just like you, she never took no as an answer. Your amazing mum saved my life and you both saved mine. Of course you have a mum, she's looking down at you now and thinking that you two need to get changed before I tickle you both" I try to seem calm but I ended up turning it into a joke.

"Daddy! Hurry up!" Lily said pulling me towards the school. It was bring your dad to school day so they could do a presentation about what they want to be when they're older.

Luke was trailing behind me slowly. Amy is so much like him, they both sleep a lot, talk too much and Amy is way too tall for her age so she must of got that from him because Zoe was short which I something I always teased her for but seeing her get annoyed was adorable.

"Sit here! Up front!" Lily said getting excited.

Luke soon joined me and we waited for this thing to start. Everyone judges both of us for having a child with the same women, being best friends and living with each other and trying to raise the children together.

After everyone doing there cliche 'I want to be a princess' or 'I want to be a spaceman' it was finally Lily's turn and she had a huge smile on her face which I smiled at her.

Why am I so close to tears?

"When i'm older, I want to be just like my daddy...He's the most amazing person ever. He's started a band and he's promised I can meet all the amazing rock bands out there! He is also letting me dye my hair soon! He makes me laugh a lot too...And every other dad out there sucks but mine doesn't" She said and was looking at me the whole time which just made me smile so wide.

"No guys...Just imagine there's a huge audience out there and they're screaming out our bands name" Calum said as we stood in the living room with our guitars and Ashton behind us on his drums.

We had to rearrange all the furniture so we could fit our little 'stage' in.

"We don't even have a band name yet..." Luke shook his head as he stood in the middle since he's the lead singer.

It was beginning to get dark so it was just a sign that summer was nearly over.

"Summer has literally been and gone within 5 seconds!" Ashton said while staring out the window.

"I guess you could just say...We had 5 seconds of summer" I tried to make a joke but no one laughed so I just awkwardly looked at the floor.

"Michael you're a genius!" Calum said and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"That joke wasn't even funny but whatever..." I shook my head and play a cord.

"That could be our band name!" He seemed way too excited.

"5 Seconds Of Summer?" Luke looked at him.

"Do you have any better ideas?" He raised his eyebrow at Luke and Luke stayed quiet "Exactly" Calum said looking proud.

We all looked at each other for a moment then Ashton began to speak.

"So...That's our bands name then?" He said and everyone said.

We all coughed before looking back the two girls sitting smiling at us but I knew Zoe was there, she was probably looking at me like she finally won at me making a band and singing as a job.

"So...Let's take it again" I groaned and began playing my cord.

"That's what I like about you

You hold me tight

Tell me i'm the only one

Wanna come over tonight?

Yeah" Luke sung and we eventually all took our solos.

When we finished Lily and Amy we're clapping like crazy which made us all smile.

"She'd be proud of you Mike" Ashton said and tapped my shoulder.

"No...She'd be proud of all of us" I smiled and looked up with a smile on my face.
