Chapter 16: 《"Check"》

"Then can you let go of me now?.." I chuckled at my sentence. "n0." He grumbled. "You said you knew I'd be busy. Why do you not want to let go?" I said. "IT's sTiLl s0 eArLy..." He responded, hugging me slightly tighter. How can he not feel sore after sleeping hours in that same position? "You can sleep with Pj, I have to go check on the Au's." I said, struggling to free myself from his warm grasp. "FiN3. Be cAr3fUl." He growled.

"Ughhhhh..." I groaned in annoyance and boredom. 'The AU's seem fine, no chaotic fights from the creators...' I closed my 'eyes', rethinking my life choices... Well, technically, my immortal life, but eh, never mind. "Ink!!" A voice yelled from a few meters of distance from my back. I rotated my body towards the source of the voice. I landed back on the ground to meet one of Dream's greetings hugs. "Hello Ink, sorry to bother you, but we're having an occasional meeting in Nightmare's Castle." He clutched his hands to his lower hips, smiling as he always does. "Sure. When will this meeting start?" My pupils turned to question marks, tilting my head to the side. "Right now!" I stepped back in surprise. "N-now-?" I was unsure if I heard his response correctly. "Yes, now let's hurry!" Dream beamed dragging me through the portal he came through.

The meeting room was disturbingly quite. I frantically looked at everyone who sat around the big circle table. I noticed an extra chair added next to Killer's assigned seat. Both Nightmare and Killer are still not present in the room, making my suspicious sense take over.

Speak of the devil.

Nightmare soon entered with Killer following from behind with a... human...? I looked at both Dream and Blue, who were both taken aback at what they saw. And so was I. "Star sanses, I formally introduce to you Kira Fe Samuel. The newest member of the bad sanses." Killer announced bowing after. Blue and I just stared at each other while Dream kept a calm pace. With a few moments of processing, I stood up and bowed. "Greetings, Kira. I'm Ink, Nice to meet you." Blue and Dream soon followed my actions, greeting the new member. "It's nice meeting you three as well..." She spoke anxiously without stuttering. "You may all take your seats." Nightmare declared in a deep cold voice. After a few bickering there and here, questions thrown at Kira and Nightmare, and some AU things, Dream spoke once again.

"A monster delivered me a letter yesterday." Dream said, placing a white envelope with a small golden pencil embedded on the lower right of the envelope. Everyone looked at both Dream and the envelope in awe. "Do you know who the sender is?" Nightmare spoke. Dream shook his head. "The monster who sent me this letter was wearing a black cloak covering its face, and it's whole body." I caught a glimpse of Kira lowering her attention towards Nightmare and Killer. I was confused why she'd suddenly trace her eyes towards the two, but I shrugged it off to not alarm the apple twins.

"Did the sender mention anything particularly related about the envelope?" Kira asked, catching everyone's attention. "Yes. The letter was not for me, but it was for Ink." Everybody landed their eyes on me. I was shocked, but a particular voice echoed in my mind.

_" ... All the five elder gods are holding a ball at the Eutral castle. You're invited."

"Will you tell us what this is about, Ink?" Nightmare spoke. I looked at Error, who seemed a little anxious. I grabbed the envelope, slowly opening it to read its contents. My eyes widened, staring at the signature and handwriting of the letter. There's no doubt that this was the head goddess. "Read it for yourself..." I passed the paper to Dream. After a moment of reading, his jaw dropped. It went on and on until eventually the room was disturbingly quiet.
