Chapter 23: 《"Delight"》

Months have passed, and slowly, Paperjam has been able to speak, read, and write accurately. He was a quick learner, which made Ink be filled with delight and puke out ink.

Pj learned that his mother was a forgetful monster. Sometimes, he would forget important meetings, time, even his lover! But the child was more than happy to see his mother try to be there for him and to make strategies on remembering things.

Ex: writing them down, setting up alarms for specific meetings. He was also grateful for his father. He may not be there most of the time, but he can see how his father tries to have a bond with him and his mother. Everything went wonderful. Although. . .

Things will always change.

Months have passed, and Pj already learned how to speak, read, and write. Impressive, I could say, but I am proud of him. Kira also improved her fighting skills. She soon became an assistant for Killer, which lessened Killer's workload, and now he manages to get sleep more often. Kira did not complain, as if I had ever seen her. Both of them are close, but I could say Nightmare has a complaint about it. Funny, really.

I recently noticed Killer being more inside of Nightmare's office. Well, Kira already took a part of Killer's job. What could he be doing there? Is he needed so often that he had to stay their for a few following hours? Weird. I asked Kira about it, and she did not even react. With a blank face and a shrug, she just said: "Well, I have seen him help Nightmare with his paperwork. Nightmare recently became more stressed than he normally is. I think Killer is assisting him in hopes of relieving it a little."

It is reasonable, I think. Nightmare has a dozen stack of paperwork to fill, mostly about the companies he has an interaction with to spread a regular amount of negativity around the multiverse. Most of the tactics used are scams, disinformation, robbery, and sometimes even murder. He used those companies as a shell for those negativity. Making Dream think that many people are driven to temptation, selfish thoughts, and the urge to satisfy. Although not like I care about it. From what Kira told me, Nightmare sleeps at two a.m., then wakes up at six(sex-) am. Killer sleeps at around ten or more, then wakes up at four early in the morning, together with Kira.

Both of them always prepare themselves, the castle, and breakfast. Kira is highly a respectful girl and is sometimes hesitant in taking lives, but she has a kind heart. I will not even guess if Nightmare will ever taint her pure heart with the unwanted bitter truth and use her for his own benefits. Like he is doing to us. At least he cares, even the slightest. He still sometimes shows it.

Although I met a bunny monster last week at Ccino's cafe. She had bunny ears and tails but had the looks of a human. She speaks with a soft tone and with refined manners. Her long beige, wavy hair mixed perfectly with her kind personality. She said she was looking for me and that finding me there was a high coincidence. Suspicious. We both had a talk, and she mentioned my lover having re-occurring nightmares. I asked her how she knew, and she kept it a secret. To change the subject a little, I asked her if she knew what Ink normally does at doodle sphere or with the creators.

She pondered for a moment, then told me that he is hardworking and a kind helper in the Palace. She also said that a friend said he helps the creators not quarrel too much and helps them with their creations and stuff. I asked if she was somewhat a staff, a maid, or having interactions with the goddesses that Ink serves. She nodded and said she was a general of the maids that served there. Our conversation lasted half an hour before she bowed down and turned her heels to leave. Altough before she took three steps, I asked her name. She smiled and introduced herself as. . .

I groaned in displeasure as I lumped at my shared bed. I recently checked the AU's, and nothing bad has mostly happened. Just some people posting information on the Internet about a popular someone in a company. They owned a new building that appeared in an AU near the doodle sphere, which got burnt down a few months past. It was named. . . De Vida? Or Le Vida? Eh. The head of the company went missing, and many rumours in social media had said he had already died and dusted, but there was no concrete evidence and an answer.

I was bored, just staring at the plain ceiling with no thought of activities that may give me energy on doing more. The head goddess recently told me that she planned about making an Au resembling a place where monsters and humans from different AU's could come and visit. A place/city made to connect more with other beings. Including the first multiverse school that will be built there, along with gigantic malls, buildings associating which industry are they, and more places that were made to educate or for new applications of people in need of jobs.

Companies from different AU's kept crashing a lot, and many resulted in rivalry between another company and innocent workers being dragged to their holes of mistakes being tortured or killed. Nightmare had already lessened the population of spreading negativity, yet many beings really are selfish enough to kill numbers of races just for self benefits. Of course, we can not simply erase negativity, though it will only break balance. But with a truce of balancing, the amount of negativity and positivity would be more fair for each. Still, it did not highly fix the relationship Nightmare and Dream has.

Both are twins, but they differ with each other. They only talk in times when they meet up or have a meeting about the current situation of the multiverse. It is also my job to balance the space being used by the creators, some old AU's being sketched to new ones, destroying what is needed, (that is not his job but is Error's. The creators usually just leave the unfinished/unwanted AU's they made to occupy more space, and that is when Error just destroys them. Some AU's there are forgotten, unfinished, loss of motivation of their creator to continue, not liked, hated, and other.)

Error has been out more often since last week. I do not know he is going, but now he comes home late at night or early in the morning. He keeps making up reasons why he was late, but almost all of them sound unconvincing. He is  starting to act all suspicious. . .

I wonder what he is up to. . .
