Fay

"Fay, what do you think"

I look up, distracted in my thoughts. "I'm sorry, what?" I ask. I'm in the last hour of the day. It was just an elective, I had to choose one. I chose student council, it was the only choice left where the classes weren't full. It wouldn't be so bad, if the student body didn't dislike me so much.

Carmine laughs. Carmine was a senior in my grade. One of the nicer girls in my classes, one of the only ones who would talk to me during and after school.

"I was saying what do you think a good prom theme would be" She smiles.

"Oh, I'm not sure. What has been done in the past?" I ask.

Amber Devoy looks up at me. She snarls her face and laughs.

"Why are you asking the only girl in the school with no friends. She won't even be going to prom!" Amber states, with her arms across her chest. Carmine looks at her with disgust.

"You are hateful! How do you know what her plans will be? She's the smartest girl I know and she's the top of our class. I'm sure she could give some great insight." She looks at me with kindness, touching the top of my hand and giving me a smile. I smile back. She shows me the list of previous prom themes. Disco, underwater, celebrity themed, and Disney. I want to give her an answer, one that will bring a thought to the table. I think back to the novels I read, where I get most of my answers.

"How about masquerade themed" I smile. Carmine smiles and gives me bright eyes.

"That's a wonderful idea Fay!" She cheers. Amber rolls her eyes, but says nothing more.

"What's a great idea?" Niall asks, walking over with Harry and Louis. All of them also being in student council.

"Well, we were talking about prom themes, and Fay had the great idea for a masquerade ball!" She says, only sharing what she thought they'd also enjoy.

Niall laughs. Harry gives a small nod.

"Leave it to Fay to want to cover her face the whole night, that's if she goes!" Niall laughs. Amber starts joining in as well.

"Maybe if you keep the mask on all night, I'll give you a dance." Niall says as he puts his hand on my shoulder, and gives me a kiss on the cheek. I feel my face heat up. Tears start to swell in my eyes.

"Is that really necessary, Niall?" Harry speaks up. Niall looks in shock, saying something about it was all in good favor, just a funny joke. I start to walk away. I hear Carmine shout for me, but I just keep walking, making my way home.

I walk in the doors of my house, feeling a little anger stir in me. I change from my school uniform into a small bathing suit, knowing some sun and water would cheer me up. I grab my books and head out to the back. I begin to read and let time pass me, feeling my skin soak up the sun.

Harry

I don't understand what Fay has done to all of them. I assume it's because she won't give them the time of day. She's the top of our class and does it without any social standing. To be so lucky.

I make my way to her house after school. Feeling proud for saying something in her defense, and thankful for Carmine for seeing the hatefulness in her other peers. As I walk inside, I don't see her anyone. Going up to her room, her door is open and she's nowhere to be seen.

That's when I see her from the sliding door. She's wearing a white bikini. The bottoms small, fitting her in all of the right places. The top is almost too small, her breast spilling out. She's damp from being in the water already. I can see her perky nipples on her damp top. My mouth feels dry as I walk over to the door, heading outside. I have swim shorts on today, planning to maybe make use of the pool if she'd allow me once I was finished cleaning.
