Lay low.
It wasn't exactly Beca's strong suit in this instance. She was kept away from a mission, a mission she should be on. She should be in New York with Emily and Jesse. She had the most experience with stealth and subterfuge. Two skill sets which would be needed for the mission.
But she understood why she had to stay behind. The Light has put a target on her back. The biggest that could be made. America's most wanted. In a sense, she was somewhat proud of it. It meant she was a threat to The Light, that they would pull the strings needed to put the target on her back.
Also, she did have The Shadows also gunning for her, most likely the Horsemen. To which she wasn't exactly looking forward to meeting again. But, this was her life.
"Hey." Chloe's voice calls softly, bringing Beca back from her own mind. She looks over and finds Chloe smiling warmly at Beca, her copper hair seemingly shining more now than she'd ever noticed before as she stood against the rickety doorframe into what was Beca's room.
"Hey." Beca responds, flashing a smile of her own towards Chloe.
"Guessing your in here sulking that you're not on mission?" Chloe guesses.
"Am I really that easy to read?" Beca questions.
"Not at all." Chloe chuckles, walking into Beca's room. "I only know as I am doing the same. But, I thought we might aswell sulk together."
"I dunno, Sulking is usually a solo activity." Beca replies as she adjusts herself on her bed to allow Chloe to sit down. "But it's probably for the best. Even I know that we are way to compromised to leave Atlanta. One keen officer at the airport and we are made."
"Doesn't mean it doesn't suck being left here." Chloe sighs, running her head through her hair.
"You'd think I would be better at this, you know, waiting. I've done it enough on assignments where I have to play a role. Wait for the vital piece of information to act upon. But, I suck at it." Beca states and Chloe laughs.
"You and me both. I've spent the last five years doing nothing to draw attention to myself. Once we managed to escape the light, me and Jesse had to make a whole new life for ourselves. Gone from protecting one of the most powerful person on the planet, to mundane life." Chloe chuckles.
"So is Chloe your name? Like, your actual name?" Beca questions.
"No." Chloe shakes her head with a soft smile.
"What is your name?" Beca asks.
"My old name doesn't matter. It's someone I haven't been for a long time. Nor Jesse. When we took our paths to be Guardian Angels, it meant our old name died. Replaced by Azura and Talos. And for a long time, that's who I was."
"Fair enough, I guess." Beca shrugs, but feels Chloe's hand intertwine with her own.
"Beca, I am Chloe Beale. That's who I am now, and that's all that matters. Just as you are no longer Alastor, you are Beca Mitchell. Who you were before doesn't matter" Chloe whispers.
"Well, Alastor isn't dead." Beca responds, bringing a confused look to cross Chloe's face. "Alastor dies when Lucifer dies. Only then can I truly be free of that person."
"Do you think you could do it? Kill him?" Chloe asked.
"He raised me. He thinks I owe him my life. My loyalty. And in some sick twisted way, I do. I do owe him my life. This life I live, is all because of him. But he has it wrong. I don't want this life. So, yeah I can kill the bastard." Beca answers. Chloe nods, seemingly content with the answer. Chloe knew, however, that if Beca couldn't bring herself to kill Lucifer, that she would take that on herself.
