"You're going to kill Lucifer?" Emily asked and Beca nods.

"He's been a parasite for my whole life, Em. I need to kill him. He's beaten me, tortured me, kept me under his control my whole life. I'm done with it. But I need to get his trust again. I need him to be able to look at me as his life drains away from his eyes. I need to be his last thought." Beca says, her anger bubbling as she does, her fist clenched tight.

"I get it, Beca. I do. But is worth possibly loosing both Chloe and Jesse?" Emily asked and Beca's face falters for a second.

"I... The mission needs to come first. It has too." Beca says.

"And if it ends up you having to kill Chloe?" Emily pushes and Beca felt her anger pulse. She knew Emily was right. It was a possibility.

"I'll cross that road when we come to it." Beca says slowly and Emily nods as she rests her hand on Beca's shoulder.

"We'll deal with it" Emily corrects Beca and she smiles at the taller brunette.

"God. It never meant to get this complicated. I sometimes wonder what would of happened if I never met you. You know? I'd of probably killed Chloe by now but... You slowly brought Beca out. You let me become myself, not the thing I had convinced myself I was." Beca admits with a little chuckle.

"You did the same for me. I was so sure the Light was perfect. That they were the way the world gets fixed. But I was foolish. You showed me what they really are. Corrupt. And you pulled me away from that corruption, Beca. You showed me the truth. That the Light is just as evil as the Shadows. They both are going to burn, I promise you Beca" Emily says and Beca smiles at her.

"I know they are." She says softly as she puts her hand on Emily's, which was still on her shoulder.

"So, I'm guessing that we are going on the downlow for a while then?" Emily asked, and Beca looks up at Emily with a smug look. "What's with that look?" Emily asked, and Beca walks over to her bed and draws our a metal case and pulls it into her bed and opens it up.

"Alastor and Emily are on the downlow. But The Arachnids aren't" Beca says as two new suits were neatly folded.

"How did you manage this?" Emily grins as she pulls the one on the left out and looks it over.

"I have connections. Ones even Lucifer doesn't know. And it comes with localised Surveillance blockers, so any surveillance camera's are instantly knocked out when we are around. Keeps us hidden from even Lucifer. Even if we hit Light bases, it would somehow get back to him. He knew of all our missions. So atleast with no evidence, it can't be brought back to us" Beca explains and Emily smiles as she puts the suit down next to the case.

"Not bad, Mitchell. Not bad at all. But... Why the Arachnids?" Emily asked and Beca shrugged.

"Sounds cool. Why, got any better idea's?" Beca asked and Emily thought for a second.

"Nephilm. The fallen ones. I feel it suits us great. We both fell from the Light and Shadows respectively." She says and Beca nods in agreement.

"You've thought about it already haven't you?" Beca asked with a grin, one that Emily shared as she nods.

"Come on, it's cool!" She says and the two share a laugh.

"Yeah it's cool. Let's hope it's not too on the nose though" Beca says and Emily shrugs.

"We just say its Jesse and Chloe. No one's gonna get close enough to see our gender. And if they do, let's be honest they won't be alive for long" Emily shrugs and Beca nods in agreement.

"Fair point" She admits. "But if we do this, and pin the blame on Jesse and Chloe, we risk losing them. Are we sure we want to do that?" Beca asked not only Emily, but herself. And the two dont answer. They didn't want too. Blaming the two was going to be a last case scenario.

"Did Beca seem... Off to you?" Chloe asked Jesse as they reach their base hidden in an old office building.

"Yeah. She seemed... Distant" Jesse says and Chloe sighs and nods, biting her lower lip as she sits on an old desk, which creaked slightly as it took her weight.

"She must of had it bad. Who knows what they did to her." Chloe says and Jesse nods.

"I've heard about the Shadows torture tactics. They're barbaric." He grimaces. "They use whips with small blades on each of the lengths, they slowly burn away the skin." He adds and Chloe shudders.

"But she's out now. That's what matters." Chloe says, more to herself than Jesse.

"I think we should keep a close eye on her. We don't know what the Shadows did to her. They could of made her Alastor all over again" Jesse states and Chloe's eyes widen.

"Do you think they did?" She asked and Jesse shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't know, Chlo. But it's a possibility. So we keep our guard up around her. We should tell Emily the danger of it aswell. She spends the most time with her, after all." Jesse tells her and she nods.

"God, why has this gotten so complicated" Chloe growls. "The mission was simple. Take down the light and the shadow. Why did I let myself get attached."

"Because you're human, Chloe. You fell in love. It's natural. And it means you will fight so much harder for Beca. And to me, that is a good thing. We will burn the Light and the Shadows to ashes. And when we are done, we will kill the Arch-Angel as he looks into our eyes. Knowing the instruments of death he tried to create are what killed him." Jesse promises and Chloe gives him a small smile as she grabs his hand and squeezes it softly.

"Nos sunt ignis inferni" Chloe chants and Jesse smiles.

"We are the Hellfire" he translates and Chloe nods.

"We are the Hellfire that will destroy both the Arch Angel and Lucifer." Chloe repeats and Jesse nods, and a silence dawns over the two.

So, been a while since I've updated this story. I apologise. I've been working on Son of Fire alot recently. But hopefully I will be returning to this properly, working on both Son of Fire and Assassins Touch.

Anyway, The two different teams work on their plans. Will they coninside with each other? And if so, what will happen? I can't wait to get further in this story, I've got some really good ideas. Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
