The next morning the girls were in Bella practise. And Beca felt a tenseness she hadn't felt before. And Audrey had a different aura to her. Her eyes precise on everyone. A calculating look behind them.
"Yo, what's up with Audrey?" Beca heard Cynthia question Amy, and Audrey eyebrow raised ever since slightly as her eyes locked onto her.
"Something to share, Cynthia?" Audrey asked. Her usual sharp tone gone, now replaced with a cold yet calm tone.
"No." Cynthia shrugs as she leaned back in her chair. Audrey fully turns her body to Cynthia now. Her eyes scanning her before she folds her arms.
"Obviously you do. As you think something is wrong with me. So either tell me, or your running laps." She offers. Her tone not changing in the slightest, nor her expression.
"You just seem tense." Cynthia answered. And Audrey let out a light chuckle.
"Well it might be because I have a group of women who cannot actually do the one thing they're suppose to be good at." She shrugs.
"Bullshit." Beca blurts out, and Audrey turned her gaze towards Beca.
"I'm sorry?" Audrey says.
"We are good, but you don't seem to let go of your bullshit song to allow us to win anything." Beca argues.
"The Bella's have a rich history. But I'd not expect someone has narrow minded as you to understand." Audrey shrugs off. Which made Beca's blood boil. Which struck her as odd. Audrey had never been able to get a raise from Beca before. But it's like she knew exactly what buttons to press. To make out Beca didn't care for the Bella's.
"Times change." Beca says in calm anger.
"Come on, Audrey. Maybe you should listen to her." Chloe states softly. And Audrey lets out a harsh laugh as her expression changed slightly, with a look of distaste.
"Of course Beca's Guardian Angel comes to her rescue." Audrey scoffs. And this made Beca even more tense. Out of all the words she could of used to describe Chloe, why was it that? She shared a quick look with Emily, and by her expression, she had caught it aswell. Her hand drifted over to the lining of her jogging bottoms, ready to reach down and grab the blade she had tied to her thigh.
"What?" Chloe asked, caught of guard.
"You always defend Beca. You've known her for what, six months? I've been your best friend for nearly two years. But always thinking about your sex drive than a worthy cause." Audrey said. And she had done it again. Pressing all the right buttons to gain a reaction. And Chloe was doing her best to hold it in. Her face was tight, her lips sucked in slightly as her eyes bored holes into Audrey's head.
"Don't you ever dispute my loyalty to the Bella's" Chloe scowls as her hands ball up tightly against her side.
"I just say what's true. You don't know that much about Beca yet you spend all your free time with her. For all you know, she's a demon inside." Audrey comments. And that did it for Beca. The wording of all this was too precise. And Chloe obviously thought so too.
"Everyone out par Beca and Emily. We have some things to sort out." Chloe demands. And everyone was happy to oblige to get away from the tension in the room. Emily followed the Bella's to the door and locked it, and within seconds Beca was behind Audrey, Emily chucked her hidden blade to Beca. But to the brunettes surprise, Audrey twisted and caught it. Her face twisted as she brings the dagger around with impressive speed. Beca was only just able to pull her body back before grabbing Audrey's wrist and yanking her forward, forcing her elbow into the blondes face. Audrey stumbled back as Chloe charged forward. Chloe brings her foot back and forces it forward. But is shocked when Audrey grabs her foot mid air, then pushes it up causing her to fall. And without missing a beat, she flung the dagger in Emily's direction with such precision and speed, Emily couldn't dodge it in time as it planted firmly into her shoulder.
