It had been a few months since Beca and Chloe had been to the club, and they were getting incredibly close. Almost inseparable. But Beca never let Emily feel like a second choice, always making time to train with her, to spend time with her. She couldn't believe her luck with the mission. She honestly hoped Chloe never let out if she was a Light Member or not.
This was a day where Chloe couldn't be with Beca, so she decided her and Emily should go to war.
Beca turned round the corner, her rifle sweeping up and down on the left as Emily does the same on the right and the two then look around the small room, gaps where windows used to be as they both take a window each and glance over, a rain of bullets follow just as they pull back.
"I count six coming from west" Beca says.
"Four on South" Emily responds. Beca makes various hand signals that Emily understood as she ran over to Beca's window. Beca then counted to three quietly then the two looked over and took the six out that were coming. The two then roll over to the window that Emily had looked through and did the same.
"Beca and Emily win!" A voice calls over and Beca and Emily cheer as they remove the masks.
"You two have some serious skill" One guy who they had taken out told them, with a perfect pink paint splatter on his chest armour.
"What can we say, you just sucked" Beca chuckled as they headed towards the exit.
"Damn girl, that's cold" He laughed.
"But true" Emily winks as they put their gear away. The two then walked off towards a bench. "When you said training, I didn't expect this" Emily admitted.
"Who says training can't be fun and helpful" Beca shrugged with a smile.
"I'll give you that, although it wasn't challenging. At all. They had no aim" She said the last part loudly, getting a bunch of middle fingers thrown at them from the guys sat not far from them.
"Well, we should probably get off. We gotta plan for later. Uriel is ariving tonight" Beca reminded her and Emily nods as they head off.
As they arrive back at their dorm, the two walk over to the computer that Emily had set up and she typed away bringing up a map with a red dot that was within Atlanta.
"So they're in Atlanta now. The question is, are we going to take them out or keep them alive. Such a big kill would send the Light on a search, and could end up looking into you, which wouldn't be the best if we need to keep your cover. But if we take them out, the Light goes into disarray. It could make the Arch Angel reveal himself." Beca explains.
"And we can take him out, and no matter who Chloe is we can keep her alive" Emily finishes, and Beca nods.
"After we destroy the Light, Then we can leave." Beca says which Emily looks at Beca with surprise.
"I would of thought you would of stayed with Chloe" Emily admitted.
"I can't Em. Our line of work, it doesn't allow relationships. After this, the next mission will come along eventually. Why stay around and make leaving all the more painful" Beca sighs.
"I mean, Why stay with the Shadows after. When the Light is taken out, we can leave. Make our own path. We both deserve a new life" Emily tells Beca.
"A new life, huh? Sounds nice." She admits. "Maybe. But no one has ever left the Shadows, Unless they die"
"Like we couldn't take out anyone they send to you" Emily laughs.
"Maybe. But that isn't what matters right now, The mission matters." Beca says, more to herself than Emily. As every part of her would love to stay. To be with Chloe. But she had to stay on task. She had too.
