The Assassins Touch

Chapter Six.

Beca woke up pretty early. As she stretched and and looked around, she saw Emily already up staring out of the window. She looked over at the clock and saw it was just six in the morning.

"Hey, You okay?" Beca asked, knocking Emily out of her trance as she turned to face Beca.

"Just... Worried. If we leave just one witness, both of us are fucked." Emily points out. Beca had to agree, she had a point.

"Maybe we should change our plan of attack. If we can get into the security room without detection, initiate a lock down and we ensure no one escapes" Beca suggests and Emily thinks about it for a second.

"We'd to take out all external guards then we'd have to go through the south entrance. Most internal patrols collide there so  if we time it right, we can take most of the guards out there and it's not far from the security room. After that we just have any knights attending that are any threat. But we can easily take them out." Emily thinks out loud before giving Beca an approving nod.

"When's the meeting?" Beca questioned.

"8pm. We got the rest of the day."

"Well we should get to Bella rehearsal.  Best to not make a bad impression on the target." Beca says as she gets up to get ready.

"Dressing to impress?" Emily smirks.

"Shut up" Beca rolls her eyes. Although dressing to impress Chloe wouldn't be a bad idea. For the mission, of course. Beca went through her clothes and found a bunch of clothes that flattered her figure and got changed quickly and put on her make-up and the two headed off to the Bella rehearsal.

The two walk in as about half of the others were there. Amy was sat talking to Stacie about some story with one of her boyfriends. Weird. Lily was sat alone, looking around and never blinking. Kinda unsettling. Quickly after, everyone else filed in and took their seats in front of the whiteboard where Chloe and Aubrey were stood. Aubrey eyes scanned the group with a crazy amount of precision. Beca could see how closely Aubrey was looking at her when she went onto Beca. Almost like a shadow. But she would of known if Aubrey was a shadow.

"As you can see, Kori is no longer with us. She was treble-boned." Aubrey says with a disgusted face. "She has been dis-invited from the Bella's" She finishes.

"Wait, that oath was real? Thats borderline cult level shit" Beca says, Emily snorting a laugh but managing to keep it mostly back.

"Dixie Chick serious. You can fool around with anyone you want too, just not a treble" She explains.

"that's not gonna be easy, he's a hunter" Stacie says pointing between her legs.

"you call it a dude?" Beca blurts out as she laughs, Stacie nods and winks at Beca.

"Stacie. The trebles don't appreciate us. And if we let them penetrate us..."

"Not a good enough reason to use the word penetrate" Amy says. God it was a cluster fuck in here, Beca thought.

"So does anyone have anything to admit?" Aubrey says, her eyes focusing on the girl with glasses. She never caught her name.

"It was an accident!" causing Beca to laugh, again.

"What did you fall on it? And thought, well since I'm here I'll fuck him" Beca joked, and to her surprise, Aubrey stifled a laugh and she could of sworn Aubrey gave her a quick smirk.

"Turn in your scarf and go" Aubrey commands and she does so as she brushes past her chair. "Take the chair" She adds and she comes back for it. Beca could of sworn Amy made a snide comment as she passed her but she couldn't be too sure.

"Question, can we bone other Bella's?" Emily asked, Aubrey spins around with a raised eyebrow.

"Would it interfere with Rehearsal?" Aubrey responds.

"Maybe. It's just a, you know, question." Emily plays off. Beca guessed to see if public flirting with Chloe would be good so they wouldn't lose their cover. Not a bad idea.

"As long as you don't bring any conflict to rehearsals, then you can all bone" Aubrey confirms. Beca rolls her eyes as she glances over at Chloe, who was already staring at Beca with a vacant smile on her face.

The rest of the rehearsals went pretty slow. Beca confronted Aubrey about her sucky music selection but was adamant on keeping it. Then they had a lot of exercise to do, Beca and Emily easily doing what was asked of them, earning approving looks from both Aubrey and Chloe.

"Right, everyone. We are done today. Rest up, and see you all bright and early tomorrow at am" Aubrey says as she is met by groans while everyone grabbed their stuff and left. Beca checked her watch and then looked over at Emily and nodded. The two quickly start to pack their things up, but Chloe taps Beca on the shoulder.

"Hey, Beca. I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight? I know a killer bar nearby" Chloe says with a wide smile on her face. Beca sighed as she spun around to face her.

"Sorry, not tonight. I got something on." She says and Chloe's face falls. Beca notices this and curses herself silently. "But, if you are free tomorrow, we can check out the bar" She adds and Chloe's face lights back up instantly as she nods.

"Totes. Can I walk back with you? My dorm room isn't that far from your dorm" Chloe asked, Beca sent Emily a look and she understood and she set off back to their dorm to prepare for their attack.

"Of course, I'd love the company" Beca smiled and Chloe hooked her arm around Beca's. The gesture confused Beca. She had never been that physical with anyone. So being with someone like Chloe was very different.

"So, what do you think to the Bella's?" Chloe asked as the two exit the auditorium, hit by the cool air of the night.

"Not what I'm use to, that's for sure. Apart from Aubrey. She reminds me of my su... Father" She corrects herself, nearly saying superior. "Yeah he's incredibly strict with how he runs things."Beca says and Chloe nods.

"Aubrey is definitely an acquired taste. But trust me, she does have a heart." Chloe defends Aubrey.

"Well she seemed to like my jokes. So I think I can bare with her" Beca admits.

"I noticed you and Emily seem close." Chloe observes.

"Yeah, we went to high school together. Pretty close friends. I might of pushed her to join the Bella's" Beca says with a smile, knowing it would definitely get her some brownie points with Chloe.

"So the girl who was actively against it, joins herself and convinces a Legacy no less to join?" Chloe says with a grin. "I knew you wanted to join. When you was arguing with Aubrey at the fair."Chloe says. Beca smirked, Chloe not knowing the smirk was that Beca knew her manipulation worked against Chloe.

"Well, I can't seem too into it." Beca jokes. "I dunno, never really been one for group stuff. Always worked on my own. I work better that way." Beca sniff's as she looks around the courtyard of the dorms, at the nighttime nature. the darker look of the garden looked beautiful. with only darker lights reflecting off the leaves. 

"Well, i think you're wrong. You can work as a team. You and Emily at the rehearsals were amazing together. you two seriously have some good co-ordination as a duo. I'm hoping you bring that to the Bella's" Chloe told Beca, who smiled at the compliment. But not the reason Chloe thought. She was right, she felt a connection with Emily. One she couldn't explain. But all she knew is, even though they have only known each other for a short period of time, Emily was probably the most important person in her life. 

"Anyway, this is you. I'll see you tomorrow, Becs. Looking forward to our night out!" Chloe grins and adds a wink before walking away. Beca roller her eyes before regaining herself and walking into her dorm building. It was time for their mission.
