"And the center of the G group is..." everyone was anticipating it, as the announcer spoke.

Sung Hanbin had been chosen as the K group center. Zhanghao hadn't doubted it.

He knew it from the moment he walked into the room for his audition.

Zhanghao clutched his own hand, pleading to himself.

He had to be it. He had worked so hard for it. Please.

"Zhanghao!" He could only hear the distant cheers, his comrades touching his shoulders, congratulating him.

He made it.

And then a big smile appeared on Zhanghaos face, as he thanked everyone.

And from afar, he met Sung Hanbins eyes, who was smiling at him, mouthing a 'congratulations'

Zhanghao smiled back, and mouthed a 'to you too'

Hanbin smiled even harder, if it was possible.

And soon enough, Zhanghao and Hanbin were sitting in the same car, on the way to the studio to practice their partner dance in the Signal Song.

"Well, I don't think we've met properly. I'm Sung Hanbin" He stretched his hand out, and Zhanghao took it.

"I'm Zhanghao" He smiled.

"So, uhm, you want to get to know each other?" Hanbin suggested, trying to keep the conversation going.

"Sure" Zhanghao agreed, but only because they'd arrive pretty quickly at the studio. He didn't want to make friends, but he didn't want to be rude to anyone.

"Mhm, what about some basic questions first? What made you audition for boys planet?" Hanbin asked, tilting his head, anticipating Zhanghaos answer.

"To be honest, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I have a license to teach violin, and I really liked the job, but I didn't feel complete, you know? And then one day one of my friends, who danced with me, suggested I try the Kpop idol industry, and I fell in love with the idea. So I auditioned and got in" Zhanghao explained, the glint in his eyes while he talked about his passion not going unnoticed by Hanbin, who looked excited.

"Oh wow! I also wanted to be a teacher! Not violin of course, I can't play it, but just a normal one. We've got some things in common" Hanbin chuckled.

"How so? Only because we both wanted to be teachers?" Zhanghao wondered, grimacing when he noticed he might've sounded rude.

Hanbin didn't seem offended, "I mean, we're both the centers and seems like we both were in a dance group before" He had a point, Zhanghao admitted.

"You dance very well" Zhanghao said, before he even noticed he did.

"You think so? I was very nervous" Hanbin chuckled sheepishly.

"Really? You didn't seem nervous at all" Zhanghao was slightly surprised at his affirmation.

"Well I sure was"

"You're also very Good at dancing. And singing. You really deserve the center part" Hanbin complimented, and Zhanghao's ears went red.

He was never able to handle compliments well.

"Ah thank you. By the way how old are you?" Zhanghao asked, curious to know if he was older or younger than the boy sitting next to him.

"I'm 21. How about you?"

"Oh I'm older. I'm 22" Zhanghao was surprised to be older.

"Can I call you Hao hyung?" Hanbin had asked, and Zhanghao wanted to refuse so bad. Because nickname stage meant friendship. And zhanghao wasn't here to build those.

But if Hanbin was looking so good under the sunlight, expecting so cutely, Zhanghao wasn't able to say anything else besides "sure"

"I hope we can be great friends, hao hyung" Hanbin smiled, opening the door and exciting the car.

Zhanghao hadn't even noticed that they had arrived.

————-

There were two instructors with them in the room. They showed the two boys what exactly they had to perform, and helped them get the moves done cleanly.

Soon after, they left, leaving them to practice by themselves.

"You want to try it out once with the music, hao hyung?" Hanbin asked, walking to the iPad.

"Yeah" Zhanghao nodded, and went to stand in his place when Hanbin started the music.

They danced smoothly, their bodies moving in sync with the music.

When the partner part came, Zhanghao was nervous, without knowing why.

They turned around, their hands on each others shoulder.

They were close, too close for Zhanghao's liking.

But Zhanghao didn't move his gaze when his eyes met Hanbin's. Nor did the younger boy. They danced the part. Staring into each others eyes.

They both stopped after that part, slightly out of breath, but still maintaining the eye contact.

"Who would've known we'd have such a great chemistry" Hanbin shook his head, chuckling.

And Zhanghao couldn't help but laugh, too.
