Chapter 18:

When they were allowed to join the others down again, Zhanghao didn't hesitate to hug the first person he saw, which was Heotaek.

"I'm proud of you" Heotaek mumbled, giving him a smile.

Heotaek joined boys planet despite knowing that he wouldn't be able to debut, but it truly made him realize how much he cared for his career.

He couldn't wait to go back to pentagon.

Zhanghao waited to be able to hug someone else, as he nearly teared up again when he saw Ricky and Jeonghyeon attached to each other.

Ricky and Jeonghyeon. A strange duo, indeed. But Jeonghyeon had managed to bring out a new side of Ricky in just a short amount of tame, and vice versa.

In some way, they were kind of like Zhanghao and Hanbin.

Zhanghao looked away, unable to observe them any longer. He hugged Keita next, who not even once dropped his smile.

"It's okay, I have my own boys waiting for me at home" Keita said, referring to Ciipher.

"We'll see each other at music shows then" Zhanghao chuckled. "Count on it!" Keita exclaimed, walking over to congratulate Matthew.

"You should've been up there with us.." Zhanghao whispered, when he crossed looks with Jay.

Jay was a 100% the most talented person Zhanghao had ever met. It felt way too unfair seeing that Jay had ended placing 10th, with only around 100'000 points less than 9th place.

"I'm sorry hyung. This is my fault" Yujin, who had heard their conversation, stood with his head hung low.

"Han Yujin!" Jay shouted, using a scolding tone. "Don't you dare blame yourself for this. You absolutely deserved this, more than I could ever have. I'm so proud of you, and now, since you definitely want to make me proud too, are going to be an amazing member of zb1! With no regrets. Alright?"

Jay held out his pinky, making Yujin laugh. He crossed them, lifting his other hand and waiting for Zhanghao to join in their three person pinky promise.

"I promise!"

Zhanghao then noticed Gyuvin waiting on the side patiently, probably waiting for Yujin to finish speaking with the others.

"Yah! Someone's waiting for you over there" the Chinese boy motioned towards Gyuvin's direction with his head, chuckling when Yujin jokingly rolled his eyes.

"Shut up, you guys are literally joined to the hip"

Yujin didn't answer, only going over to Gyuvin instead.

After one whole hour of saying goodbye to everyone, they were allowed to go back home. The trainees- no, members who were foreigners would be allowed to stay one more night at the planet dorms, since they were moving into the zb1 dorm right the next day.

Matthew would be going with his mom and sister, to visit their grandma who still lived in Korea.

Meanwhile Ricky had informed them some minutes ago that he would be sleeping over at Jeonghyeon's house.

Zhanghao didn't want to be alone.

"Hao hyung?" Someone called, which Zhanghao was able to recognize instantly, without even having to look up from his phone. His parents couldn't make it to the finale, but they had called him and congratulated him while crying, proud of their son.

"Yeah?"

"Wanna come over at mine? We can go to my apartment" Hanbin had told him earlier in the beginning of the show, that he had moved out of his parents house as soon as he started university, saying that he wanted to learn how to be independent early.

Zhanghao didn't know what to answer, still thinking that the younger boy was mad at him because of what happened in the morning.

"Is it okay?" Zhanghao asked, rubbing his arm anxiously.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Hanbin frowned.

"Why aren't you screaming at me? Aren't you mad?" The Chinese was truly wondering how Hanbin could not be mad, because if Zhanghao was in his position, he would be fuming, sputtering curse words here and there.

"I cannot be mad, even though I would like to. Because I understand why you said that stuff. And I love you too much to be mad" Hanbin confessed, grabbing the older boy's hand, dragging him onto the dorms.

"Let's get changed, and then go"

Hanbin's apartment was just like what Zhanghao imagined it to be.

It was surprisingly big, and had a certain vibe to it. Neat, of course. The furniture was simply black and white, popping off with some beautiful paintings hung on the walls.

"These are really pretty." Zhanghao mumbled, staring at the paintings.

"I know right? My sister is very talented"

"Woah, your sister drew those?"

"Mhm, she really loves drawing and other stuff like that. When I told her I'd be moving out, she surprised me with those as a gift" Hanbin explained, staring at a picture which was a landscape in the middle of winter.

"Is it cool having siblings?" Zhanghao asked, curious. He had always wanted to be an older brother, but sadly, he was an only child.

"Yes. She can be annoying sometimes, though. She's like my own stabilizer. If I didn't have her, I would be so messy in so many aspects of my life. Luckily she's there to remind me the right thing to do every time. I always go to her for advices, even though she's younger than me"

Zhanghao listened attentively, loving the way Hanbin seemed to care so much about his sister.

"Do you like being an only child?"

"Not really. I mean, I don't have to share anything with anyone, but I'm always the center of attention, and really had no one to go to with my problems or for backup. Growing up with my parents was also very strict, that's why I'm so untrusting of people in the beginning"

"What did you think of me when you first saw me?" Hanbin mumbled, anticipating the boy's answer. Zhanghao seemed to think about it for a second, before speaking;

"You were really impressive. You were the only person whose name I could remember after the auditions. It's like I had 'Sung Hanbin' on repeat in my mind" Zhanghao spoke, not scared to share his truthful thoughts.

Hanbin chuckled, his dimples showing. God, Zhanghao was his person. And there was nothing anyone could ever say to convince Hanbin otherwise.

Zhanghao was his and only his.
