My phone started ringing, i groaned as i reached around to the shut it up, feeling my way on the bed. All of the sudden i felt and arm, i furrowed my eyebrows and kept reaching around. Then felt a torso and made my way up and felt a face. Who the fuck was in my bed. I opened my eyes and looked to where the i felt the person, saw it was a sleeping loki. I was startled by him being there, i dont remember much of yesterday he probably just stayed here because of how dead exhausted we were. I sat up and looked around for my phone, i grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was 10:30 am, honestly i thought it was much later than that.
"Loki, wake up come on we need to think of what we are going to do." i said while shaking him
He groaned and moved over
"Loki come on wake up. We need to plan what we are going to do." i said while still shaking him
He finally opened his eyes and looked at me, with a groggy look on his face.
"About time all high and mighty woke up." i said
"Shut up am exhausted." he groggily said
"Loki come on we need to plan this shit." i said
He sat up and and looked over at me with a pissed off look. I stood up and walked over to the room vanity and opened it up. And pulled out my staff and gear, and laid it out on the desk next to me. Walked back to the closet, grabbed my clothes and walked to the bathroom to change, i heard loki getting up.
I finished getting showered, changed, and fixing my hair. I opened the door and saw loki sitting on the couch with a book in hand. I walked over to him, he looked up and stood up from where he was sitting.
"Ready? Took you long enough." he said
"Shut up." I snapped
He rolled his eyes at me.
"Alright now. How are we pulling this off, because everyone up to now knows your still alive, and we are up in a different planet and its been four months. AND you died." I said
"Alright i can just turn into thor explain what happened. And from there see the reactions." Said loki
I stared at him; now thinking a bit clearer it was a smart idea.
"Smart...."
"I AM smart." Said loki
"I know you are." I replied
"....."
"Tell me more about how smart I am!" Said loki
"Loki we have no time for praising you for being a smartass; what we need is to actually get this on a roll" i said rolling my eyes
I heard footsteps down from the hall, jumped over to loki grabbed him and went inside my closet. The room door opened and heard someone walking inside.
"Stark am truly sorry, am not sure where Nex went. Loki died, am not sure were nex was in the aftermath we searched but didn't find her." Said thor
"So your telling me Nex could possibly be dead? What am i supposed to tell her parents? That she died in a nother dimension?" Said Tony sounding furious
I looked over at loki who was getting a joy ride out of this; i told him to stay here. I dramatically opened the door and fell out. And started fake coughing.
"KID! YOUR OKAY!" Cried out Tony
"Lady nex! I thought you were gone or lost!" Said thor helping me up
"Yeah am okay am good... i somehow ended up in my closet after getting lost in... uh the dessert... you know where loki got killed?" I said while making it all on the spot trying to find an excuse for why i was in the closet.
"Am so glad your okay you guys were gone for four months i was starting to get really worried." Said tony while giving me a hug
I smiled and hugged him back, he let go and slightly wiped off a few tears.
"Well kid we'll make a small dinner in you being back; on Wednesday!" Said Tony
"Stark, today is Friday..." said thor
"WELL WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK" snapped tony at thor
I chuckled at them bickering, i slightly looked back at the closest to see if loki was visible.
"Well nex get some rest, we'll see you later on the day" said tony patting my shoulder
I nodded as both of them walked out and shut the door; i sighed and walked over to my bed and slumped down exhausted. I then felt loki sitting next to me, i looked up and saw him looking at me. I slightly smiled at him.
Wednesday afternoon rolled around and i am just sitting playing video game's , i looked over at the time and saw it was five pm; the dinner was at six o'clock. And i should probably get ready, getting up from my desk and walking over to my closet and putting on a black dress. I showered earlier today because i knew that i was going to take forever with picking the clothes and getting my hair ready and stuff.
I grabbed the black dress and started to zip it up, i walked back to the mirror vanity and then started putting on a necklace of a green emerald, while brushing out my hair loki appeared in my room.
"Loki where did you come from?" I said getting slighttly startled by him
"I was just-... where did you get that necklace from." He said sternly all of the sudden
"What this one...?" I said while lifting the necklace
"Where did you get it from." He said more intensely
"Loki, what is wrong?!" I said starting to back up
"Tell me where you got it from." He said
Ive never seen him this tense, i saw a look in his eyes that ive never seen before; he started getting closer and closer to me. I stretched out my hand and my staff flew to my hand; thankfully Tony put a chip into both my hands that connect to my staff, sort off like thors hammer.
It flew to my hand and extended it and pushed him of me.
"LOKI STOP YOUR FUCKING SCARING ME!" I yelled
"AM TELLING YOU WHERE. DID. YOU. GET. THAT. NECKLACE." HE YELLED
"FROM A FUCKING STORE LOKI A FUCKING STORE." I hollered at him
I was panting pointing my staff at him, i saw him that he came to his senses. He saw me and how terrified and confused i was. I AM confused and terrified. He started walking towards me.
"STAY BACK." I yelled at him
"Nex, am sorry. I dont know what. What came over me." He said
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU LOKI" i yelled back
"NOTHING NEX I JUST THOUGHT THAT NECKLACE WAS STRANGE'S NECKLACE" he snapped back
"WHY WOULD I HAVE DR. STRANGE STONE?" I yelled back
"I DONT KNOW" he yelled
Both of us were huffing and looking at each other. I could feel myself shaking, i shook my head, and turned my back to him. I faced my vanity mirror, placing my arms on the counter, and hanging my head; i looked up at him from the reflection he looked back at me from the reflection and i could slightly see teary eyed. Why was he tearing up, i looked back at him and walked over to him and and i looked up at him, i could see one of his eye twitch and a tear rolled down;
"Loki why are you so worked up about." I asked
"Lets just please forget about it." He said looking away
I nodded and looked at the clock, shit its six pm; i ran up to the vanity and getting myself ready. I quickly ran to my heels and put them on, grabbed my phone and quickly started heading to the door.
"Nex. Wait" said loki grabbing my wrist
I looked back at him. He was looking at me, grabbed my face and leaned down to kiss me. I was surprised by this, i stopped and leaned into the kiss i broke off the kiss and and looked up at him, he had a small smile and i smiled back at him.
"I'll see you later loki." I said
He smiled and disappeared into the green mist he always disappears into.
I started walking down to the dining room area and saw that everyone was mostly there.
"There she is!" Said toy getting up from his chair
"Hey everyone!" I said waving
I went over and sat down at the chair that was next to thor.
A few hours went by we all were having a fun time chit chatting and just having a good time.
"So nex you were gone for four months!" Said nat
"Yeah i know crazy to belive, it was only two weeks over in asgard." I answered
"So where's loki?" Asked hawk
"Unfortunately he was killed." Said thor
"Oh god what happened?" Said nat
"Am so sorry to hear thor, and for you nex." Said hawk
"For me..? I don't see why you would say for me i just sadly lost a friend." I said
"So you guys weren't dating at all..." said tony
"Yeah we werent... dating. We just were close friends." I said
I remembered my vision, where loki actually died. Seeing how he laied there while i was screamig. Explosions were just going on everywhere, i remeber a girl just holding me back from loki.
"Nex...nex?" Said nat
I looked up, not realizing i zoned out.
"Hm?" I hummed
"Your... crying." Said tony
I put my hand up to my face and started to wipe the tears off, not realizing that i was crying.
"Sorry i guess i just got emotional over that." I said
He nodded and he kept talking.
The night went on, and little by little the people started leaving. It was around one in he morning and i was sitting on my bed, still in my dress and heels. I looked down at my necklace. Remembering loki's reaction, i then remembered a necklace that sorta looked like this one, i think it was a girl wearing it. I opened my camera roll and searched for the picture, i then saw the picture i took of it i zoomed into the necklace and saw it was almost identical to the one i was wearing... and loki's bracelet. But why was loki so overworked with it. Did the girl in the picture have something to do?
I turned off my phone and tossed it behind me. And flopped back on my bed letting out a sigh. I looked over at the clock, and saw it was one thirty already and got up from my bed and started getting changed into something to sleep in. I walked back to my bed, and to my surprise i saw loki sitting there reading. I smiled and went over to sit next to him.
"Edgar allan poe?" I asked
He nodded.
"...This maiden she lived with no other thought / Than to love and be loved by me." He said
He looked over at me while he closed the book, all of the sudden it started raining hard, it was a cloudy night in new york looking out the window and seeing the gray clouds over the city.
