You woke up to a knock on your door. You stood up groggily, annoyed that someone would wake you up, but before you took any more steps closer to the door, you woke up immediately at the realization that someone was knocking on your door in this shady ass neighborhood. You quickly jumped on your bed to grab your phone to see who was outside your door. You heard another knock, a little more aggressive, and a muffled voice that seemed to be calling your name.
You input your password on your phone incorrectly the first time which made you curse under your breath, but once you finally unlocked it, you immediately opened up your spy cam to see the one and only Sevika.
"What the hell?!" You whispered shouted.
She knocked again. Feeling like your door was about to come off the hinges, you quickly scurried and pushed the couch to the side, and unlocked the door.
You opened to see a not very impressed Sevika leaning on the entrance, basically towering you. She was at least 6ft, but you were sure you missing some inches.
"Look who decided to open the goddamn door."
"I wasn't expecting you to knock on my goddamn door at 7 in the morning." You sighed, tasting the metal taste in your mouth.
Her eyebrow arched at the tone you used to speak towards her. "I believe I told you that you would be shadowing over me today while I worked on my clients."
Rubbing your eyes, you spoke, "well you didn't specify the time. Just give me some time to get ready."
As you were closing the door, Sevika stopped it with her hand. She pushed it open and walked into your apartment.
"What the hell are you doing?! You're my boss, not my goddamn landlord. You know what, I don't care." You walked away from her towards your bathroom, and made sure to lock the door just in case she decided to barge in your bathroom too.
You wanted to scream, but that would be dramatic. You were just overwhelmed with everything and your decisions you've made so far. Why didn't you just go the easy route? You question why everything is so hard, yet you avoided all of the easier options.
You splashed water on your face, hoping that it would help ease the tension in your mind. It didn't do much, but it was a starting point for the rest of your routine.
Once you finished in the bathroom, you walked out to see Sevika scanning around your place. You ignored her and went to your bedroom to pick out a quick outfit. You looked at the weather app on your phone to see that it was warmer than usual, so you opted for a dress, and would bring a hoodie for if it got chilly.

Comfy, somewhat practical and cute. You closed your bedroom door to quickly get dressed before you went back into the bedroom. You decided a bare face would be the move, so you didn't bother touching your makeup bag. You slept in your wig last night, so you touched it up and re-straightened pieces.
You grabbed your black messenger/tote bag and threw what was needed in there while making your way to the kitchen to grab an apple since you couldn't make breakfast.
You then walked up to Sevika who stared at you blankly.
She finally spoke. "Why 2 couches?"
"Protection," is all you responded before you followed up with "you ready?"
She hummed gathering that you were indeed a paranoid girl in a big world. She then looked you up and down. "Are you trying to seduce the clients?" She ended it with a smirk.
You almost rolled your eyes, but you quickly stopped yourself. You could feel her eyes narrow at you. Waiting for you to slip up. You then sighed in annoyance. You made your comeback quickly. "Why would you think that? Am I seducing you, Sevika?"
She chuckled at your response. "You can't seduce me that easily Ember. But you can annoy me without trying."
You walked pass her so you could exit the door. "I'm glad the feeling is mutual."
You could feel her smirking without looking as she walked behind you. You took your opportunity to roll your eyes whilst asking if y'all were taking the bus.
"Yeah, unless you wanted to take a long walk to further waste my precious time."
You ignored her and quickly walked to the bus stop. You busied yourself on your phone, meaning you scrolled through instagram and hearted pictures of people "living their life to the fullest" while you were living life at a bus station next to a woman that could drive you mad.
You eyed her from the corner of your eye, no longer being able to concentrate on your handheld device. Despite how you somehow grew an annoyance to her, she still brought things to the table that you found attractive. Your mommy issues clearly has brought you to older woman, and her "daddy" demeanor clearly made up for your absent father. But it wasn't just that, she made you curious. Her mysterious nature alluring you down a dark alleyway where a cat could get killed.
You obeyed her unlike you did most people. You don't even obey your mother. You rebel somewhat out of spite. To prove a point. To be anyone but what your mom wanted you to be. To somehow, in the mist of it, find who you are. But this life wasn't exciting. It is hard for you and sometimes you're unable to see this light you seek. You weren't living life, you were surviving.
But Sevika, had a hold on you. You weren't able to just rebel and get away with it. You knew there were consequences.. and you feared it and her capabilities. But that's what excited you. That's where your curiosity begins to spring. Wondering where testing the water would get you.
You eyes trailed to her lips. A smirk still plastered as if she could hear your thoughts. Your eyes went down to her body. She was strong, but her femininity still showed in the curves of her body. The crop top she wore gave you a peak of her very toned stomach. How dare she say you were going to seduce the clients when her v-line and thick thighs were to die for. But I guess nonetheless, her demeanor was not necessarily masculine in the sense of being manly, but powerful. She was on top. She had big dick energy. Something you won't mind rid-
You quickly looked away as you realized that your thoughts and your eyes were wandering to place it shouldn't be. Your mom would kill you from the thought of you being interested in, what your mom would call, a "thug".
But not just that, you knew she was bad news. You don't have to research that to know your gut. You didn't want anything jeopardizing what you got going on. You needed a paycheck that was more than just the $15 you were making at the daycare, plus art commissions and random babysitting jobs. It was too much to juggle on top of school and no car. And you needed to get your tattoo license so you can branch off and start your own business.
You pushed your wandering mind to the back, and in a nick of time, the bus had arrived.
