Chapter 18

By the next day everyone had heard some sort of story about the destruction of the school the night before. By the time I arrived at breakfast, since Sarah was still with Gabriel, the glass had already been swept up but the gaping hole in where the window should have was still there. I sat at a table alone with a small stack of pancakes. I didn't really want to sit with my usual crew since I was still mad at them about what they had done the night before. I really wasn't happy about being made Loki's slave. Charlie sat down next to me. 

"Okay, what really happened last night? I know the shit they are saying isn't true. Kids aren't stupid enough to vandalize a school to this extent." She asked as she started to eat. Leave it Charlie to be to smart for the administration.

"What makes you think it was me?" I asked her with a raised eyebrow. 

"First of all you are sitting on your own. Normally you sit over with Dean and his group of friends. Secondly, you  look like hell and like you got no sleep last night. So what happened?" Damn she was good. 

"Okay. You know the new guys?" I asked her

"Yeah?"

"You obviously know Metatron"

"Of course"

"The animatronics were trying to kill us last night and they were being controlled by Metatron who is actually still alive and I've known that since the beginning of the year" I spoke kind of quickly. 

"What does that have to do with you not sitting with Dean and his friends?"

"When I found out that Metatron was behind it I went to hand myself over so that they could get out alive. They made a different call and decided to use Loki's scepter on me" I explained, slower this time. 

"Holy shit. That was way to far. No wonder you hate them" 

"Not all of them..." I could feel my face burning. 

"Oh my god you like one of them! Which one is it!?" She seemed so excited by the fact that I liked another guy and had moved on from Gabriel. 

"I'm not saying! You have to guess" I told her. 

"Well it's not Dean. He is like a brother to you. I would be a little surprised if it was Loki since he was the one to use the scepter on you. Ummmmm, that leaves Merry, Pippin, George and Anakin. Merry and Pippin are joined at the hips, plus you always said that you wanted to take care of them like they were your little brothers. I got a fifty-fifty chance here. If I guess wrong then I will know it's the other, and if I guess right obviously that one" She thought for a moment. She wanted to have a good reason to guess the guy. "It's Anakin isn't it?"

"Dammit. Why do people always guess it right? Do I make it that obvious?" 

"Yeah, you kinda do. Plus he has glance over here every five minutes. I'm going to wave next time he does" Charlie was grinning literally from ear to ear. 

"Oh my god, no! Please don't that would be really awkward!" I hid my face in my hands. 

"Oh my god you sound like a schoolgirl with a crush" Charlie laughed. 

"I am a schoolgirl with a crush! Actually I'm not really sure, but we may or may not be official" She looked over shocked. 

"What! You got a new boyfriend without me knowing. I am deeply disappointed in you Grace" She laughed, as did I. "Hey, do you wanna hang out with me and the girls tonight? Since the school is closed for maintenance we decided to have a game day. It starts at noon. The girls have been bothering me to bring you back. They all really like you"

"Of course I'll come Charlie. I still have a challenge to accomplish" 

"What would that be?"

"To get Eowyn and Faramir together" She squealed like fangirl who's ship just became cannon. 

"Oh my god yes! Just like in Lord of the Rings! This is happening and I am totally helping!"

"Sweet. We need to plan this out."

"Right. We need to get this done, and we need to get it done right!" Looks like Charlie was in full agreeance. 

"Okay. So I've been learning things about the both of them. Sunday is gameday. Faramir and his brother, who are sharing one of the houses I believe, courtesy of their father, usually go shopping about noon for snacks. If we were to send Eowyn out today, make a list of what we "need" that might work. You send her out and I'll follow her and make sure they meet up."

"Sounds good to me." We finished eating and the two of us left to go make a basic list of the snacks we will need for this event.
