I walked out of the room leaving Metatron's corpse to rot. I followed Gabriel, a few steps behind.
"Where is Grace?" I heard Anakin ask Gabriel in a worried voice.
"Calm down, your girlfriend is over there." He motioned toward me. Anakin rounded the corner and saw me standing there. I was covered in blood and still clutching the angel blade.
"Grace... are you okay?" Anakin looked worried.
"Yeah, I'm okay. It isn't mine." I told him.
"Is it... his?" I nodded. Anakin walked over and embraced me. "I'm sorry you had to do that."
"I'm not. He ruined my life. He kidnapped my daughter and put me through hell and back. He deserved worse than what he got." I spat. This was a side Anakin had never seen from me. It was a side I didn't even know I had.
"Sorry to be the one to cut in, but what are we supposed to do with the body?" Dean asked coming around the corner.
"Leave it there to rot. He deserves far worse than this."
"And when someone finds the body?"
"Tony will back me up. He got what he deserved."
"Why don't we just throw his body in the ocean? No one will find it there." Gabriel suggested.
"Fine. Do what you want." I walked off. I went back to my house and stripped, climbing into the shower to wash off the blood. When I was done I changed into a new outfit and went downstairs. I found the others waiting down there.
"It's done." Dean said. I nodded as I took Sarah from Gabriel.
"I love you so much baby girl and I'm never going to let you out of my sight again." I held her close. I sat down on the couch and finally broke down into tears. Sarah climbed off my lap and managed to slide onto the floor. She just stood there looking at me. I smiled at her through my tears.
"Mama, watch!" She let go of the couch with one hand and took a step towards the kitchen. Then another, and a third.
"Sarah, you're walking!" I smiled. "Guys, come look at this!" I called into the other room. They all peaked in around the doorway and saw Sarah slowly taking steps toward the doorway. Gabriel knelt down on the ground and stuck out his arms to grab her when she made it, but she didn't go to him. Instead she clung to Anakin's leg. He bent down and picked her up.
"Sorry Gabriel, but you were the one that kidnapped her in the first place."
"But it wasn't me!" Gabriel defended himself.
"We know that, but she doesn't. She is afraid of you now." Gabriel sighed.
"Yeah, I guess she would be. I'm going to go now." Gabriel turned and left. Anakin walked over and handed Sarah to me.
"I'm so proud of you baby girl." I said as I took her.
"You know who is going to be jealous that she didn't have Sarah walking before you?" Dean asked me from the door.
"Charlie." We both said in unison. We laughed.
"Let's go show Auntie Charlie why don't we?" I carried Sarah out of the room.
"Are you sure you should be going out right now. I mean you just..."
"Just killed Metatron? Yeah I know. I don't need the reminder and I don't need your worry. I'm perfectly fine."
"That's what worries me." I heard him mumble.
Me and Dean walked out, heading back to his dorm, knowing Charlie was probably there, as well as Sam and Cas. They needed to know what had happened. When we arrived we just walked in, it was Dean's dorm after all. The three of them were there.
"Where have you guys been?" Charlie asked. She seemed to be able to tell something was wrong. I glanced over at Dean, knowing I would have to tell them, so I did. They listened with intent, not interrupting the story as I spoke.
"So it's finally over?" Cas asked when I was done.
"Yeah. Metatron is actually dead this time." I held Sarah close to me. She didn't know what had happened and I would probably never tell her.
"Are you alright?" Sam asked.
"I'm fine. Why do people keep asking me that? My daughter is safe and I can finally move on from this whole experience."
"Last time you thought you killed Metatron it was tearing you up inside." Sam reminded me.
"That was before he kidnapped my daughter." I reminded him. "A mother would do anything for her children."
"Last time was different though. Last time it was because she had to. This time it was murder. If they find his body you could be given jail time."
"No one will, and if they do I will claim self defense. There is to much evidence stacked against him. There are a plethora of people from the "war" and people from Halloween night when he sent the animatronics to kill me..."
"Wait, that's what happened?"
"Yes, plus thee if footage from the warehouse to see that he had kidnapped my daughter and I was only doing what I could to get her back."
"This isn't over yet... a new battle has just begun." Cas said.
"I know, and I'm prepared to fight it." There was a moment of awkward silence. "Oh hey Charlie, look at this!" I knelt onto the ground and placed Sarah on her feet. "Walk to Auntie Charlie!" I told her as I let go. She wobbled her way forward but reached Charlie. Charlie lifted her of the ground.
"How could you! You traitor! I was supposed to get you walking! Not her!" She shot me a glare. "Well, you had a good run, but let's get you even better."She carried Sarah over to her side of the room and set her on the ground to help her get better at walking. I laughed at the sight. It was almost... normal.
