Crow: Hope you enjoy this chapter, my apologies for the past cliffhanger. There is probably going to only be a few more chapters left in this book, but watch out for the sequel! Stay hydrated!

----------------"Wren..." He murmured again to me, his hand cupping the side of my face. He let another long sigh, before his hand slowly went limp and dropped from the side my face.
I sobbed even harder, tightening my grip on his slowly cooling hand. My body shook feebly as I cried, my bleary eyes began to droop with exhaustion. My blurred vision began to slowly fade out, my consciousness beginning to slide into the void of nothingness.
And I let it.
Derek's POV
I watched Wren and Jay's retreating forms, trying not to feel jealous of Jay.
He probably just wants to talk about something with him
Probably
I tried to push away my thoughts as I ate my food, my anxiety growing with each quickly passing minute.
Why were they taking so long?
I glanced nervously around the loud cafeteria room, the students chattering and gossiping among each other excitedly. My suddenly gut clenched in warning.
Something is very wrong...
The remaining five of us sat in silence, glancing every now and then at the cafeteria doors, wondering when the others would be back. The minutes ticked slowly by, until around twenty minutes had passed. Thirty-ish minutes of lunch now remained.
"Okay, that's it. I'm going to go look for them. What is they had a run in with Becky- or Crayne?" I said anxiously, standing up. I looked over at the other crew members, subconsciously running a hand through my black hair and un-styling it.
"You guys don't have to help, you can stay here and eat if you want."
The others collectively got to their feet and followed me out of the noisy cafeteria room. We walked down the quite and vacant school hallways, glancing in the nearby classrooms through the glass windows which were embedded in the doors.Finnaly, I saw a crumpled form on the floor of the classroom through the glass in the door. I pushed open the door and stood on the threshold of the class. I was rooted to the floor in shock as dread washed over me, making my breath stop and my heart hitch.
Wren and Jay's crumpled, figures lay in a large puddle of glistening scarlette blood, a dark contrast against the stark white floors of the school. They lay only a few feet apart from each other, and they were holding hands in limp grasps.
Wren was curled into a ball and my heart stopped momentarily, praying that he wasn't dead. I sprinted to his side and gently rolled him over, taking in his bloodied appearance.
His chest was covered in blood, but I couldn't tell if it was Jay's or his. His face was beaded with sweat and tears stained his features. I grabbed his wrist and frantically checked his pulse.
I waited in baited breath until I could finnaly make out a weak heart beat thudding pitifully beneath my shaky fingers. I sobbed in relief, pulling his limp, frail, bloodied body against mine.
I cried into his blue frosted hair, trembling with intense relief.
God, I thought he was dead-
What would I have done if he was?
I couldn' have gone on living without him-
My silent monologue was cut short as I heard rushed footsteps behind me. The four other jocks knelt beside me, their eyes wide with dread as thy surveyed the bloody scene.
"Oh my God, is Wren okay?!" Demanded Ace, his onyx eyes wide with anxiety.
I nodded shakily, my face still buried in Wren limp neck.Braden silently knelt over Jay and grabbed his wrist. We waited in a tense silence, waiting for him to tell us that Jay was alive.
He never did.
Braden looked up at us, his pale green eyes glistening with un-shed tears. He shook his head at us, letting his tears fall freely down his face that was full of misery.
NO-
Numbness settled into my soul as shock corrupted my mind. Tears poured even faster from my already wet eyes, dampening Wren hair. Intense sobs shook my body to the core as I cried into Wren's hair.
Jason let out a broken sob, covering his mouth with his hand. He collapsed voilently to his knees, his tense shoulders shaking with grief of the loss of one of his best friends.
Ace leaned against one of the desk, his expression faint as tears steamed his cheeks. He closed his glassy, wet, dark eyes shakily and covered his face with trembling hands.
Charles backed up and sat down at one of the school desks, as if his legs could no longer support the weight of this new-found grief. His shoulders shook violently as he sobbed, his cries joining the others who filled the silent room.
We all stayed like this for a good ten minutes, crying against each other and sobbing pitifully. Eventually, Braden pulled out his phone, sniffling. He began to dial some numbers on his phone, no doubt calling someone.
After a short phone call, Braden announced in a raw, crackling voice,
"I-I called a-an ambulance. T-they should be h-here soon."He sat down on one of the desk, covering his tear stained face in his shaky hands and drew in some shaky deep breaths.
I closed my wet eyes, feeling more warm tears fall down my soaked cheeks. Exhaustion washed over me, pulling me into the void of darkness. Before I slipped in, I tightened my grip on Wren's frail frame.
Then I fell asleep, entrusting my friends that they would take care of Wren.

Crow: Yeah, nothing is really new in this chapter but I just wanted to write from Derek's point of view. It was also kind of necessary since the next chapter will probably be in Wren's point of view at the hospital, so we kind of needed to know how he got there. Anyways, thanks for reading this chapter, I hope you enjoyed it even though it's awful as fuck. I love you all so much, take care of yourselves for me. ♡Word count: 1047
