"Terry! I love this song and I want to record it and put it on the album!" I argued.
"Kinsley, no one will like it and I thought we wanted this album to be where anything could be released as a single."
"And this could be! And everyone won't like every song but this one means something to me!" I said.
"What does it mean?!" Terry asked pissed off. I just sighed and went to answer but we heard the door open. I looked and saw Chris and gave a small smile.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt I was looking for Scott. He told me he was stopping to see you and to meet him here." Chris said.
"He texted me like 10 minutes ago and said he got stuck on a call. He will be here soon. Go ahead and have a seat." I said and Chris nodded and sat on the couch. I then looked at Chris and smiled. "Let's get an outsiders opinion." I said to Terry and he looked at me oddly.
"Who?" Terry asked. I looked at Chris.
"Hey, so Scott told me you like some of my music but arent a big country fan right?" I asked and Chris blushed.
"Yeah, in my defense he wasn't meant to tell you." Chris said and I laughed and I shook my head.
"I'm not crazy about all your movies so we're even." I said and he laughed.
"What are you planning?" Terry asked.
"Let me sing it in the booth with all the music and how I want. Chris can be the deciding vote if it goes on or not." I said and Chris looked panicked.
"Kinsley...I don't know..." Chris trailed off.
"I need an unbiased opinion which I would never get from Scott. He loves everything. You're the best I have. Please Chris?" I asked and he sighed but nodded. I squealed in excitement. I rushed into the booth and put on the headphones and waited for the music to start.
🎵Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah (oh, yeah)
Save your money on the roses, baby
Just leave a daisy on the dashboard
Just pick me up in your old Bronco, baby
Don't gotta ride in on a white horse
When you're younger, they say it's a kiss in the rain
Throwing rocks at a window, but
It's when we're in a crowded room, put your hand on my back
And waiting on me in the morning with my coffee black
Back to the basics cause they're bigger than they seem, yeah
Give me that typical, simple love, it's the little things, mm-hmm
Yeah, it's the little things (ah-ah-ah)
It's the little things
It's knowing when you need to pull me closer
And when you need to give me my space
It's wine and vinyl, my head on your shoulder
Don't gotta treat it like a first date
Used to think it would be a backseat sex scene
Drawing hearts on the window, but
It's when we're in a crowded room, put your hand on my back
And waiting on me in the morning with my coffee black
Back to the basics cause they're bigger than they seem, yeah
Give me that typical, simple love, it's the little things, mm-hmm
Yeah, it's the little things (ah-ah-ah)
Ooh, it ain't grandiose
Just pull me in and kiss me slow
Ooh, it ain't just for show (it ain't just for show)
Let's not go big, let's just go home
It's when we're in a crowded room, put your hand on my back
And waiting on me in the morning with my coffee black
Back to the basics cause they're bigger than they seem, yeah
Give me that typical, simple love, it's the little things
When I go drinking with the girls, and you leave on the light
The way you get me laughing in the middle of a fight
Back to the basics cause they're bigger than they seem, yeah
Give me that typical, simple love, it's the little things
Yeah, it's the little (it's the little)
The little things
Yeah, it's the little (ah-ah)
Yeah, it's the little things🎵As I sang I kept looking at Chris and he was blushing and smiling. Once I finished I walked out of the booth.
"So?" I asked and Chris sighed and I got concerned.
"Honestly I think it should be the first single when you release a one." Chris said and I squealed and rushed over to him and hugged him. I then kissed his cheek. Once I pulled away from him I just looked at him.
"Sorry." I said and he shook his head.
"Don't be." Chris said and I smiled.
"Did you really mean what you said?" I asked and he nodded.
"I did. It's amazing." Chris said and I smiled at Terry who sighed.
"Fine on the album and the first single." Terry said and I started jumping up and down excited as Chris laughed.

A few days later Scott, Chris and I were all out to dinner since Scott was leaving to go to LA to film something.
"So, when are you looking for album release?" Scott asked as I took a bite of the pizza I was eating at the local pizza joint and I sighed.
"No clue. Terry is fighting me on songs and what goes on the album so it's taking longer." I said.
"Wait, are you not getting the song I picked?" Chris asked and I huffed a laugh.
"Oh no that's on and first single, and Scott's song but everything else he is fighting me on. It's a process him and I always go through." I said and they both just sighed.
"You need me for more moral support and pick your songs?" Chris asked and I shrugged.
"Maybe." I said and he winked at me from across the table. Scott was watching both of us.
"What is happening here?" Scott asked.
"What?" Chris and I asked.
"Asking Chris for help. Am I not good enough Kins?" Scott asked in a sad overacting tone and I laughed shaking my head.
"You are the best Scott but you love everything I do. I could sing Baby Shark and you would love it." I said. Both guys laughed.
"Okay so you picked Chris for help?" Scott asked and I nodded.
"Not a big fan of everything I do and he has an unbiased opinion." I said and Chris smiled.
"Well I'm in Georgia for a few more weeks, if you need me after Scott leaves I'm just a call away." Chris said and I smiled at him.
"Thanks Chris." I said and Scott smiled seeing something there.
