“WHAT?! HOW?!”
“We don't know either. Just, he stopped seeing after we finished checking a mural.” Xiazi said, not mentioning the kiss as he knew Yuchen would kill him if he did.
“A mural? What type of mural?” Zhang asked, he felt familiar to this. Xiazi explained the mural to the stoic male and the latter listened carefully, making sure not to leave a single detail.
“Wait, you said you touched the mural right? Only after that did you rub your eyes, right?” Zhang asked and Xiazi nodded.
“The paint caused this. It must have been made of The Giant Hogweed plant. Its a toxic plant that can cause blindness.” Zhang said, and the three grew tense.
Will its affect last forever...? What will I do?
“Is it permanent?” Wu Xie asked, unintentionally voicing out Yuchen’s worry. Zhang shook his head.
“I doubt, since the paint contains only traces of the sap, it might not be permanent. We have to wait and see. If it cures by itself, well and good, otherwise you might need to consult a doctor.” Zhang said and Wu Xie let out a sigh of relief. He was happy to know that there is some hope in this situation.
“Forget about this, let’s continue searching the cave.” Yuchen spoke up.
“Sure, hold my hand Hua’er, you don't want to trip or run into a wall do you?” Xiazi teased causing Wu Xie to giggle at Yuchen’s reaction. The elegant male’s face showed his clear feelings of wanting to hit the older male but curse his blind eyes, he couldn't.
Taking Xiazi’s hand into his own reluctantly, he motioned the older to lead the way. Zhang instinctively held Wu Xie’s hand as well, guiding the clumsy male.
After a few minutes, they ran into a huge gate but the thing was, no one knew how to open it. There was no lock and no matter how hard they woukd try to push, it would be useless. Xiazi looked everywhere for a lever or some sort of sign to open the large stone gate, but he found nothing.
Zhang stepped forward, grazing the gate with delicate hands, looking for a switch. When he found two holes, he smirked. Taking his index and middle fingers, he plunged them into the holes and twisted them. A click was heard and the doors opened by themselves, moving ever so slowly with a loud creaking sound.
“Xiaoge, how did you do that?” Wu Xie asked with his doe eyes wide. He admired Zhang for being so calm, collected and always being able to find a way out.
“Zhang Two Finger Technique.” Zhang replied shortly, trying to suppress a smile that was itching to show up on his lips at how adorable Wu Xie looked at the moment.
“Teach it to me someday!”
“You need long fingers like mine for that.” Zhang said. He pulled Wu Xie close to him and slowly whispered, “And that’s not the only thing these fingers are good at.” Wu Xie almost malfunctioned right there.
“You two coming or not?” Xiazi yelled and Wu Xie immediately grabbed Zhang’s hand and dragged him to join the older males. The moment they crossed the giant gate, the doors automatically shut themselves, meaning, even if the group wanted to return, they couldn't.
Wu Xie gulped, he didn't know why, but he had real bad feeling about this place.
