The door swung open and the group entered the room, ready to face the worst case scenario but they were all left in shock.
The entire place wss frozen!
“What happened here....?” Yun Cai asked, a puff of smoke visible ad breathed out. Wu Xie and the others were just as puzzled.
Weren't we supposed to meet the zombies here? Did we accidently step into the wrong place? And why is it so cold here?
Zhang could almost hear the gears in Wu Xie’s head, churning non stop to find a plausible reason for this outrageous situation. Although he wasn't an overthinker himself, he couldn't help but wonder at the odds of the current scenario.
“Hey, Yun Cai right? Are you sure this is the right place?” Yuchen asked, shivering at the coldness of his surroundings. If the cave they were in before was cold, then this place is freezing.
“I am sure I followed the right directions.....right, Pangzi?” Yun Cai turned around to face the plump male but he wasn't there. She looked around franctically but saw no sign of the older.
“Pangzi! Where are you?” Wu Xie called out, his voice wavering in the chilly air. Hr rubbed his hands together to provide some heat to himself and blew warm air on his hands.
“Xiaoge, can you see Pang- Xiaoge? Xiaoge! Where are you? Oi!” Wu Xie yelled, anxiety rising by each passing second when he couldn't locate the stoic male. He needed his Xiaoge beside him, knowing that the elder knew just how to calm him down.
Wu Xie looked around and let out a gasp, more like a hushed whimper. He couldn't see anyone. Not even Yuchen or Xiazi. He grew extremely tense.
What the hell is going on? Where did everyone disappear off to?
Wu Xie let out a loud sneeze that echoed throughout the room, he didn't notice it before but the place was really dark. He fished out his flashlight from his pocket and although he wanted to sit down and curl into a ball at how cold it was, he pushed that though aside and began to investigate.
Meanwhile, Zhang also found himself in a similar situation. Cold, dark and empty. It was almost as if he was looking into a mirror that displayed the image of his soul. He had long forgotten the meaning of warmth and love, so when he felt these emotions again with Wu Xie by his side, they felt so foreign.
Where is Wu Xie? Is he okay?
Zhang couldn't help but let gis thoughts drift over to the younger male. He wad lucky enough that he had a hoodie on him and even though it barely made any difference, it did provide some warmth in this freezing cold place.
Weird....this place wasn't this dark before.
Zhang squinted his eyes to adjust to the darkness but it was useless. Great. First, everyone disappeared, then this pitch black darkness.
I hate it. I hate the dark. It reminds me of-no. Don't think about it. First find a way to escape this place and then look for Wu Xie.
With that thought, Zhang pulled himself together and took in few deep breaths. After he was back to normal, he focused his mind on a certain bright light he could see whenever he closed his eyes.
Slowly but surely, he could feel his surroundings getting warmer. He was confused, why was it getting warmer? He wanted to open his eyes but knew it wasn't the right time.
Now!
He opened his eyes and couldn't believe what he saw.
