Finally Found- Wu Xie x Zhang Qiling

Chapter-10

Xiao Hua was in the middle of his own struggles. He wasn't fighting mythical creatures rather, he was fighting the urge to kill the person he paired with. The man in black wouldn't leave a single chance to flirt with the elegant male and it pissed him off at how it was actually affecting him.

He could feel his heart racing whenever the latter would make a flirty comment and he hated it.

"Hua'er, are you okay?" Xiazi asked as he examined the deep frown on Xiao Hua's face. The latter simply shook his head as a no and signalled to keep moving.

"Look, a cave!" Xiazi exclaimed and Xiao Hua's ears immediately perked up. He whipped his head into the direction where Xaizi was pointing at and felt proud that they found a cave so soon.

"Let's investigate it." Xiao Hua ordered and the duo made their way towards the cave.

Wu Xie and Pangzi were following Zhang in extreme silence and as much as the stoic male liked the tranquility of the moment, he couldn't but feel weird about it.

They are unnaturally quiet.

"You two good?" Zhang asked as he turned around.

"Yeah, we're good." Wu Xie replied and Pangzi agreed. Zhang raised his brows in a questioning manner and the two strongly nodded.

Fine then.

After walking for what felt like hours, the trio decided to take a break near the lake they had just reached. Wu Xie seated himself on a rock as he took in the beauty of his surroundings. The place was peaceful. The sound of water ripples, insects and birds chirping once again pulled him into a land of daydream.

How I wish we could have a small picnic right now. But we gotta find that cave. I wonder, why is it called the cave of the Blood Zombies? More importantly, what secrets does it hide that resulted in Grandpa's death while uncle is ready to risk his life for it?

Wu Xie was brought back to reality with a tap on his shoulder. He turned his face but was frozen.

He was so close to Zhang's face that even the slightest movement could result in a kiss. His breath hitched, heart rate increased and cheeks became red.

Zhang was also taken aback at the closeness and wanted to pull away so that he wouldn't make Wu Xie uncomfortable, but after seeing such a cute reaction, he couldn't help but want to tease the younger.

Its the perfect time too, Pangzi is on the look for firewood since most trees in this area are damp.

"What's wrong Wu Xie? Your face is red." Zhang whispered softly, tilting his head as he let out deep breaths. Wu Xie was too flustered to speak. He could feel Zhang's hot breath right on his lips and it took him everything not to smash his lips against the older's.

"X-Xiaoge....I-"

"Hmm, what? Keep talking, puppy."

Wu Xie's eyes widened. He tried to hold it back but a small whimper escaped his lips at the new nickname. He loved how deep and sensual Zhang's voice sounded just above a whisper, his hands running along his nape barely touching the milky white skin.   

Zhang smirked at how easy it was to rile the younger up. He held Wu Xie's neck gently and looked him in the eyes, silently asking for permission. Wu Xie understanding what the older meant, slowly nodded as his hands trembled out of both excitement and nervousness. Zhang noticed his uneasiness and with his free hand, gripped Wu Xie's, engulfing it in a warm hold.

This calmed Wu Xie down and he began to lean in to Zhang as the older did the same.

Their lips touched in the softest manner and both males felt fireworks explode within their stomachs, lips moving in perfect sync. The kiss that started off as sweet and gentle was slowly becoming more and more heated by each passing second.

Wu Xie's hands found their way into the soft jet black hair of Zhang as the latter held onto former's neck firmly, slightly pulling him closer.

They broke apart for oxygen and looked into each other's eyes. While Wu Xie saw love with a hint of lust in Zhang's eyes, the latter found only adoration in the beautiful puppy dog eyes.

"Xiaoge, I-"

"Guess who is back baby!" Pangzi's over-excited voice sounded and the two instantly separated themsleves from each other.

We kissed! We actually kissed! Holy shit!

Wu Xie's mind was a mess as he still couldn't believe that whatever happened was reality and not just another one of his fantasies. Zhang smiled as admired how cute Wu Xie looked when he was all flustered.

He seemed shocked but not disgusted.

All the while, Pangzi was extremely confused on why Wu Xie looked like a tomato and Zhang was smiling at him so fondly.

Don't tell me.....

"Xioage! Don't tell me you like-" Pangzi started and Wu Xie's breath hitched. He figured it out already?! How?!?!

"Tomatoes?! Those things are so gross dude!" Pangzi ended and Wu Xie was left speechless. Zhang looked over to Pangzi with no amusement on his face.

"What are you talking about?"

"I mean, Tianzhen here is so red, like a tomato and you kept smiling at him so I thought you liked tomatoes. Or maybe you were thinking of strawberries? Or even cherries?" Pangzi reasoned and it took Zhang everything not to laugh at his stupidity.

"I don't like any of those, I like-" Zhang was cut off by no one other than Wu Xie himself.

"I-I'll set up the fire!" He said loudly on purpose, sending daggers Zhang's way to keep him quiet. Zhang let out a small giggle which he quickly covered up with a laugh.

The trio sat around the campfire and ate their usual feast of cup noodles which they were beginning to run out of. Although they had other sources of food, this was the most delicious one.

Once again, Wu Xie found himself in an awkward situation.

How do I face him after today?

"Wu Xie, are you okay?" Zhang asked, a hint of worry in his voice as he gazed at the somewhat troubled face of the innocent male.

"Look, I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable. If you want, I can go sleep in Pangzi's tent and-"

Wu Xie cut off Zhang's sentence halfway not by words, but by pressing his lips against the older.  He wrapped his hands around his neck and Zhang, although surprised, regained his composure. 

Hands in Zhang's hair, Wu Xie couldn't help but think how soft Zhang's lips were. He loved the feeling of holding the older in his arms and couldn't get enough of the musky scent of his.

He was so lost in the kiss that he didn't even realize e was now lying down on top of one of the sleeping bags. They broke the kiss for air and sounds of heavy pants filled the tent.

"You should sleep now, we have yet to continue our search for the cave. Good night, puppy." Zhang said and Wu Xie pecked his lips one last time before making himself comfortable in his sleeping bag and drifting off to dreamland with a satisfied smile.
