Nour ran up the stairs, looking at the different doors when he heard sniffles coming from behind the shortest one. "What's wrong, petal?" He asked gently as he shut the door and walked over. She shook her head while sniffing, Nour wiping the tears from her face and chin as well as a few that fell on top of Nubia's forehead.

"Everything that I expected. This whole family gathering was fake. Everyone's side eyeing us and now I find out my mothers dying with cancer. The only reason we were invited was so she can give me some fake ass apology about everything she's put me through. What's worse is that everyone else knew but me."
