"Here, baby..I know." Danielle cooed to Nubia as she placed some more food onto her plate. They were at Dallas BBQ's, Danielle requesting sticky wings which everyone else agreed on. The ride was quiet, Nour following behind them with his car as Danielle drove. Mason was quieter than usual, the conversation in the classroom replaying in his mind.

"Mason, talk to me man. What's going through your mind, hm?" Nour asked as he placed his napkin down on his now empty plate. He tried to swap a wing from Danielle's plate but she slapped his hand away before placing one on his anyway with a smirk.

"Nothin."

Both Danielle and Nour shot Mason a concerned look, the teenager staring down at his plate with empty eyes. Nour looked at Danielle, her eyes meeting his as she bit her lip.

"What is it that you need? That will help?" Danielle asked. Mason sighed before shaking his head and standing up, walking out of the restaurant.

"I'll talk to him. Okay?" Nour breathed as he stood, kissing Danielle's forehead before kissing her lips. She watched with anxious eyes as her husband walked after their son, Nubia's squeals breaking her from her racing thoughts.

"Yummmmmmy!" Nubia cheered causing Danielle to smile widely, her eyes watery with anxiety behind her glasses.

"Yes, yummy right? I know.."

"What's going on, Mace?" Nour asked as he stepped outside. Mason was leaning against the railing of the steps, his face angry as he aggressively wiped his tears.

"Nothing."

"It's obviously something, baby. What's wrong?" Nour asked gently as he stood next to him. Mason sighed, sniffing before shaking his head as he tried to hold in his sobs.

"Is that why nobody came to my birthday past last year? Because I'm autistic? I'm too weird? I'm too talkative?" Mason asked quietly.

"No. No. It's because they're assholes. They were then and they are now. There is not one thing wrong with you. You're just different and being different is fucking amazing if you ask me. I would know-"

"You're a lesbian with a penis. I know you know." Mason's statement caused Nour to laugh loudly, his laugh echoing through the parking lot of the restaurant. Mason snickered quietly, his eyes curling at the corners the same way his mother's did anytime she laughed. It made Nour smile as he took his thumb and wiped the tears from his son's face.

"You know what..I can't argue with that one. However, do you know the reason why you call me dad instead of mom? And why mama calls me her husband?" Nour asked.

"I wanted to ask but you guys just got back together and I don't want you to separate again. I want us home with you, dad. I missed you home." Mason sniffed. Nour swallowed back his own emotions, a soft smile on his face as he stared down at Mason who just smiled back sheepishly.

"So..I was born different. Like Azi. You guys hang out a lot when you stay for the weekends. We have a rare gene in our dna that causes us to have different genitals that don't match with our gender. When I was born, everyone thought I was a boy until I hit puberty and grew a chest. Azi, was born a girl but overtime her body started to develop differently. So..I decided to choose the pronouns he/him even though I do have a chest. It's just what I prefer. It doesn't make me any less..me. I just rather not identify as a woman."

"But biologically..are you a woman? I mean..I know you're not but like..do you know what I'm trying to say? Does Nura have a penis?" Mason asked with a panicked tone causing Nour to laugh again.

"Some people say yes some people say no. I just say I'm both. It freaks people out. But no, Nura does not have one." Nour chuckled causing Mason to snicker while sighing in relief. Nour's phone chimed and he looked down before smiling.

Everything okay? - my woman.

"Mama's looking for us. Let's go back inside."

"They're all asleep. Thank you again for coming with us." Danielle sighed as she walked down the stairs. Nour sipped the hard seltzer that Adel offered him before turning in for the night, leaving him alone with his loud thoughts as he sat on the couch.

"You okay?" Danielle asked as she stood behind him, leaning in and rubbing his shoulders and chest from behind the couch. He hummed, her diamond ring flashing under the low light as she rubbed his chest, grazing his hardening nipples.

"Mhmm.." Nour hummed, biting his lip as she started to kiss his neck from behind. She sucked on his earlobe, Nour gasping as she grabbed his throat from behind. She leaned in and kissed his lips, her tongue slipping into his mouth as she moaned quietly.

"How about you come upstairs? Hm?" Danielle whispered causing him to chuckle when suddenly the lights were turned on, both Danielle and Nour looking back to see Adel glaring from the stairway.

"Not in my house."

"Baba!" Danielle hissed playfully causing him to shrug as he walked to the kitchen, the sound of his slippers loud against the floor causing her to roll her eyes. She knew he was doing that on purpose, Nour standing up with a chuckle and discreetly adjusting himself.

"Goodnight, Adel. Thank you for the drink."

"Mhm." Adel hummed with an arched brow as he slowly searched through the fridge. Danielle scoffed before grabbing Nour's hand and walking with him to the doorway. She stood on the porch, his hand squeezing hers as he bit his lip.

"Pick me up tomorrow at eight." She breathed. Nour grinned widely causing Danielle to roll her eyes before chuckling while pushing him toward the car.

"Wear something gold. We're going out out."

"As if you didn't sneak a box into my closet. I already saw it, sneaky!"

"Well..send me a selfie when you try it on. I love you." He called while kissing his first two fingers and gesturing them toward her. She blew him a kiss back before turning around and jumping as Adel smirked while leaning against the now open door.

"Why don't you just go home?"

"Oh hush. I need him to beg first. You know me."

"Mhm. Nasty."

"Goodnight, baba!"
