Chapter 22: Performance Day!!

>Nate's POV<

            "What do you mean I can't perform?!?!" I asked the doctor in an astonished tone. "Well considering your band mates will be jumping around and dancing, I don't think it is best you can perform. But you are aloud to the meet and greet, but you're going to have crutches with you." The doctor said boldly, making sure I understood. I nodded a reply, and then I was immediately given my crutches and escorted by Paul.

            As we exited the hospital, camera flashes were going everywhere, questions flying at me. I was then slowly guided into the van, and Paul immediately drove out of the hospital full of paparazzi and the new stations. "You feeling okay?" Paul asked. I nodded and he gave a small smile. "I'm going to drop you off at the venue entrance okay? Just so you can go to rehearsal." I smiled at him and he smiled back and put his focus back on the road.

(30 Minutes Later)

            "Here we are!!" Paul said, and there was a crowd, even for rehearsal. The security guards outside moved all the fans back, and the gate to the venue opened, allowing Paul and I in. When he stopped the van. He came to open the sliding door. He slowly guided me out and then gave me my crutches. I heard the fans scream, so I turned to them, waving, making them scream 10 times louder which was a pain. Then I was immediately attacked by a kiss, which was familiar to me.

>Niall's POV<

            "Okay guys. Take your break. Nicki, you are up now." The director said. We got off stage and Zayn says, "It sucks that we don't have Nate on the stage with us." Harry then replies back, "Yeah it sure does suck that he isn't on stage." But what was weird was how Harry said it. He seemed a bit proud of it. I then heard the loud screaming of fans and looked over at Nate getting on his crutches. The boys and I came up to him and gave our separate hugs. "So I see Nicki is on stage now. Cool!!" We chuckled and walked Nate over towards the stage. As Nicki performed Nate was literally crazy over her. After Nicki finished the last line of the song she was performing, Rihanna came on and Nicki got off stage and approached us.

            When she finally reached us and gave us a putting face and says, "So my number 1 Ken Barb won't be singing??" She then gave Nate a hug and then Nate asks, "Would it be okay if I could take a picture with you?" Nicki smiles and says back, "Anything for a Ken Barb." Nate then took his phone and then Nicki and Nate took a picture. After, Nicki gave Nate a kiss on the forehead and waved at the rest of us going to her trailer.

(Some Hours Later)

>Harry's POV<

            We were all dressed and ready for the concert, and Rihanna & Nicki performed theirs songs and we'll be up next. "Okay guys. You are up now." A woman with dark brown hair said peeping her head in from the door. We then got up from our chairs and waved off to Nate, but Niall gave Nate a kiss before catching up with us. When we reached the stage, we got our microphones and then the announcer says, "Ladies and gentleman. Our finally performance tonight is............. One Direction!!" Screams filled the air and we walked out on stage, and when all of us walked out, screams became murmurs.

"Is everything okay??" Liam said into the microphone. Then a voice yelled, "WE WANT NATE!!" Then the rest of the crowd started chanting it. Liam looked at us and then Niall ran off stage. We then all looked at each other, and rather quickly, Niall came back on stage, and Nate on his crutches. Screams filled probably all our ears. Nate waved. Well I guess now Nate is becoming a little more popular. "Nate." A voice called. We turned our heads and Josh our drummer chucked Nate a mic and Nate surprisingly caught it. "How's everyone doing?" He said and the crowd went absolutely wild.

(Hour Later)

>Louis's POV<

            "Ugh I'm so tired." I said resting my head against Harry as we got on the van to get to the airport. Then a sound of screeching tires comes to my attention and I look to my left to lights of a truck and before I could do anything, the truck hit the back of the van, spinning it around, and glass flying everywhere. I hit my head against something really hard, and darkness welcomes me.

(Unknown Time Later)

"Louis!! Wake up!! WAKE UP!!" A voice says. I try to open my eyes to the ringing voice, but my eyes feel a bit heavy. But I force my eyes open, my vision blurry, and feel weight on my chest. It's Harry. "Harry." I say and his head snaps up and then the next thing I know I am in a breath taking hug by Harry. When lets go, I ask, "What happened??" Harry replies back saying, "We were in an accident. You were our for 5 days." Wow.... That is a long time. But only felt like hours since. "How are the others?" I ask looking into his eyes. "Zayn and Liam are fine, but Niall and Nate have some big cuts, and Nathan almost had a serious problem with his broken leg."

            I nodded. Okay. They are all okay. But it just seems like Niall and Nate are the ones targeted and not us. Like come on!! Harry and I are dating, but not being mobbed. It's strange how these events revolve around Niall and Nate. Could it be someone from either of their pasts be trying to tear them apart? "You okay?" Harry said, his voice full of concern. I then looked over at Niall, sitting on Nate's stretcher as Nate slept. I then replied, "I don't know." I looked at Harry and said, "I think something bad is going to happen."
