Yayra was a joyful child who lived in happiness until the day her parents perished in a horrific vehicle accident. Yayra was left to gather the fragments of her universe on her own after it broke into a million pieces. Her aunt, who had always been gracious to her, had taken her in, but circumstances soon changed.
As her aunt grew cold and aloof, Yayra quickly found herself on the receiving end of her ire. Her relatives would do nothing while her aunt thrashed her and made her perform all the housework. Yayra thought she was in a nightmare. Even worse, she was constantly reminded of what she had lost because her aunt and cousins were residing in her parents' home.
In spite of everything, Yayra persisted. She prayed every night, requesting courage and wisdom. She was sobbing in her room one day when she heard a knock at the door. When she answered it, she saw it was a new neighbor, a woman by the name of Joy.
Joy was soft and polite. And when Yayra spoke, she listened to Yayra's tale with sympathy and comprehension.
Joy eventually took on the role of Yayra's sister and assisted Yayra in overcoming her past. But with that she had to make a decision so Joy made the decision to share Yayra her story one day when they were conversing in front of her house while sitting under the summer hut.
"I completely comprehend all you're going through, and as I always say, I promise that things will get better.
The most pure love of all is the love of God. Let me tell you a story. . ._Once upon a time, a young girl named Love existed. At an early age, she lost_ _her parents and was raised by her violent aunt and uncle. Her aunt and uncle were nasty to her, always making fun of her and forcing her to do all the household chores. Love had always trusted in God; her favorite passage was_ _Jeremiah 29:11. _However, following her parents' deaths and the torture she_ _experienced at the hands of her family, Love lost faith and_ _ceased believing in God._
_One day, after enduring years of abuse, Love had had enough. She ran away from home in the middle of the night, hoping to escape her auntie and uncle's_ grasp. _She wandered the streets, not knowing where to_ _go, until a woman approached her and offered her help. The_ _woman seemed kind and_ _genuine_ , _so she trusted her and_ _followed her to a nearby shelter._
However, the woman was not as kind as she seemed. She sold her into_ prostitution, and she found herself trapped in a life of abuse and exploitation once again. But she was strong, and she refused to give up hope. She managed to escape from the women's clutches and ran away once again, determined to find a better life for herself."
Joy glanced at Yayra and noticed how focused she was on listening. Therefore, she proceeded.
As she wandered the streets, scared and alone, she met a man named Mawutor. Mawutor was kind and gentle, and he offered to help her. At first, she was scared and mistrustful because of her past experiences, but Mawutor was patient and understanding. He took her home, fed her, and gave her a warm bed to sleep in. He always made her laugh and smile, and for the first time in a long time, Love felt safe and happy.
"I hope one day I will find my Mawutor," Yayra said with a sad face as she listened.
Mawutor was a devout Christian, and he shared his faith with Love. At first, she was hesitant to believe in God again, but Mawutor's kindness and patience slowly won her over. She began to attend church with Mawutor, and she found that she enjoyed the sense of community and belonging that she felt there.
One day, Love asked Mawutor why he was so kind to her. Mawutor told her his story about how God had saved him from a near-death experience at birth, and how he had devoted his life to helping others.
Love was moved by Mawutor's story, and she began to see the world in a different light. She realized that even though she had suffered so much in her life, there was still hope for her. She thanked Mawutor for his kindness and accepted Christ into her life. From that day on, Love's life changed for the better. With Mawutors' help, she found a job and a place to live. She made new friends, and she even started attending college. She found that she had a passion for helping others, and she became involved in various charity organizations.
Love's newfound faith in God helped her heal from her past and find true love and happiness. She knew that life would never be easy, but she also knew that she was never alone. She continued to attend church with Mawutor, and she found that her faith gave her strength and courage to face whatever challenges came her way.
She realized that even though she had lost her parents and suffered abuse at the hands of her relatives, God had never left her side. She knew that with God's help, she could overcome anything.
When Joy finished the story, Yayra couldn't stop crying. Joy was actually surprised. Yarya said, "That was your life story, right?"
Joy didn't expect her to figure it out but now that she did, Joy taught her about faith in God and showed her that there was still hope in the world. With Joy's help, Yayra found the courage to stand up to her aunt and cousins, and she eventually moved out of the house.
---------------5 years later-------------------
Joy stood outside her balcony, the breeze toying with her hair, staring at the skies with one hand on her rounded belly.
Now, the baby bump was so evident. She couldn't believe how far God had brought her. If someone told her back then this would be her ending she would have never believed it.
She married a youth Pastor in her church. Mawutor stood in as her parent to accept everything. She will be forever grateful to him. She couldn't get over the excitement she was four months pregnant with her first child. Actually, second, since she adopted Yayra as one of her own.
They communicated frequently and it was good to know she was doing well.
Now, the bible verse rang in her head and actually put a smile on her face as it had greater meaning to her now.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
