Chaeyoung POV

"I can't believe that I just had dinner with 75% of Blackpink. This is like a childhood dream coming true." Ji-Hyun said laughing after we enjoyed a delicious meal in a nearby restaurant. Well, as nearby as possible, when you consider that the last scene was shot in the middle of the woods. "You know, back in the days, I was a massive BLINK."

"Really?" Jennie asked with a surprised expression on her face. "I must say, I feel flattered. Whenever a celebrity admits that they are a fan of our music, I suddenly feel like super famous." Jennie, Jisoo and Ji-Hyun all laughed while I poked around in my dessert.

"Chaeyoung, are you okay? You've been awfully quiet."

My head shot up at the sudden change of focus towards myself and I stared into the face of the brown haired woman in front of me. She still had this stupid, fake smile on her lips that pissed me off more and more. "I'm fine." I simply replied before standing up from the table. "Excuse me, I have to use the bathroom." With these words, I walked away from the table and made my way to the restroom. I tried to calm myself down by splashing some could water in my face. I couldn't understand why this woman was getting under my skin so easily. Was I really just nervous because I still had to find a way to approach Jisoo? Or did it have something to do with how close Jisoo and Ji-Hyun were, and how Ji-Hyun made sure we would know how close they were. Almost as if she was trying to demonstrate something to me.

Just when I was about to turn away from the mirror and return to my friends (and Ji-Hyun), the door to the bathroom opened and the latter woman entered it. As Ji-Hyun approached me, her eyes wandered up and down my body in an almost condescending way. Combined with that always present smug smile on her face, I could feel anger building up inside me.

"Can I help you?" I asked her, not able to hide the hostility in my voice completely. But rather than being insulted or shocked by it, she seemed to be rather amused.

"Why? I just need to use the bathroom, just like you do." She replied with the most fake innocent voice I've ever heard. I gave her a simple nod and she walked just past me. But just as I was about to leave the bathroom, I heard her steps stop and she spoke again. "Say, you don't have any feelings left for Jisoo, do you?"

Immediately, I stopped in my tracks and spun around to look at the woman who was now standing a couple of metres away from me.

You bitch.

"What did you just say?"

"Oh, I was just wondering, you know? Because you still look at Jisoo in a certain way, as if you're still hoping to get back together with her. And I can't help but feel like you see some sort of threat in me?"

"Jisoo told you that we were a couple once?" I asked, not able to hide the surprise in my voice.

Ji-Hyun chuckled, clearly being amused by my cluelessness. "Of course she did. We are like best friends, we've grown together a lot since we started filming together." She slowly walked towards me gracefully, clearly trying to intimidate me with her presence. Now standing directly in front of me, she leaned down to look me directly into her eyes and it took my all my willpower to hold her gaze. "We are very close."

That was the last straw for me. I quickly turned around again and went out of the bathroom. Upon my return to our table, Jennie and Jisoo eyed me with a worried expression when they saw how emotionally distressed I was.

"Chaeyoung, are you okay?" Jisoo asked with a concerned voice.

"Can we talk for a second?" I replied, completely disregarding the older woman's question.

"Sure." She replied, albeit confused. I nodded my head towards the exit, indicating her to follow me and we both made our way outside. "Chaeyoung, what's wrong?"

"Jisoo..." I began hesitantly. "What.. what is this between you and Ji-Hyun?"

My question seemed to confuse her even more. "I don't think I can follow you?"

"Are you two dating or something?" I asked her, now directly looking at her.

"What? No, we're not. Why would you think that?"

"I see how close the two of you are. And that kiss scene... "

"Chaeyoung, you realize that this is literally my job, right? And of course we are close, we are friends."

"Pretty good friends, by the looks of it." I mumbled quietly to myself, but not so quiet that Jisoo wouldn't hear it.

"Will you stop it already?!" Jisoo snapped at me, making me flinch. She very rarely raised her voice at someone and if she did, she must be very annoyed. "Ji-Hyun and I are good friends, and nothing more. And even if we were dating, I don't know why it would be of your business."
