Bakugou pov - Early June of the next year

I'm pacing back and forth in front of the old hat's house, waiting for Shitty hair, Kaminari, and Eyebags. Mina took (y/n) out for a girl's day in the town so I could pack mine and (y/n)'s bags. I'm taking her on a surprise vacation to the place where Shitty hair and I were living when I met her.
I sent the three boys on a trip there first so they could tidy up the cave and "romanticize" the lagoon that was (y/n) and I's official first meeting place. My anxiety level rises as I think of my plan, pulling the small ring box from the pocket of my shorts. It doesn't help my nerves that if she says no, the trip back to the Branch will be heartbreaking and awkward.
"Who am I kidding, of course she'll say yes!" I yell out to no one, hoping it will ease my worries.
I freeze when I feel someone come up from behind to stand beside me and wrap one of their arms around my shoulders. "Relax Bakubro, with how magnificent we set that place up, there's no way she'll say no," Shitty hair exclaims and I turn to see him winking at me.
I sigh and shrug his arm off my shoulders, turning to fully face the three travelers who are sweating from the long journey. "Bout time you guys got back, everything better be good."
Kaminari gives me two thumbs up, wedding band shining in the morning sun. He and Eyebags got married a couple of months ago. "It's looking great, just waiting on you! Where's (y/n)?"
"Out with Mina, they should be back soon," I respond, putting the ring box back in my pocket so she won't see it when she gets here. He nods and they head inside to wash up and relax.
I sit on the porch steps and rest my elbows on my knees, staring down at the dirt under my feet as my mind wanders to the time (y/n) and I have spent together. I'm afraid to risk the relationship we've built so far by asking her to marry me but being with her just feels so right, and I think now is the right time to take the next step.
"Someone's brooding," (y/n) giggles and I startle, looking up to see her crouched down in front of me. There's happiness in her (e/c) eyes and she wears a lop-sided smile, tilting her head in curiosity as she gazes at my panicked expression. "What's on your mind?"
I smile and take her hand in an attempt to calm my nerves as I bring both of us up to stand at the base of the steps. "Just some memories. You should go to the bathroom and change out of that dress, we're going exploring," I say as I lead her to the front door, hoping she doesn't notice the backpacks on the porch swing.
I close the door behind her and take a seat in one of the rocking chairs, turning my attention to Mina. "Shitty hair's back, I'm sure you want to see him. Just be sure to tell (y/n) to meet me out here when she's done."
"Will do, and good luck," she says before heading inside with a giant grin as she calls for her boyfriend, who she hasn't seen in 5 days.
I stand up and smirk as the door re-opens, revealing my stunning girlfriend in short jean shorts and a tank top. "You ready to go?" I ask as I hand her one of the backpacks.
"Yep!" She says with excitement in her eyes. "Where are we going, and what's with the backpacks?"
"It's a secret, and we'll be gone for about a week. So the basics; clothes, food, and safety gear," I answer as we head down the porch steps and towards Wolves Den Forest.

(Y/n) pov - dinnertime two days later

I glance around the familiar cave as I munch on my sandwich. Katsuki and I arrived about an hour ago and set up our sleeping area before sitting down to eat. I brush the crumbs off my hands and stand up, stretching before meeting him at the cave entrance. He told me when we arrived that he wanted to take me to the lagoon to watch the sunset, and I've been giddy with excitement ever since.
I take his hand as we begin the short walk, the sun shining down on us through the branches above. He's seemed tense over the past two days, and his hand is extra sweaty right now, I hope the sunset watch will be relaxing for him. Maybe we can go swimming, I'm sure that will cheer him up.
I tear myself from my thoughts as I feel him come to a sudden halt beside me. I take in our surroundings and gasp. "How is this possible," I breathe out, walking in a slow circle to capture everything with wide eyes. The small, sandy beach-like area around half of the lagoon is covered in (f/f) flower petals. There are even some drifting in the water, which is glistening like diamonds from the setting sun reflecting over its tame surface.
I spin around abruptly to face Katsuki as I come to a sudden realization. "The boys did this, didn't they? This is the reason they were gone for five days! But why...?" I ask him, my voice drifting to a whisper towards the end.
He takes in a sharp breath, noticeably nervous as he answers me. "I wanted this trip to be special for us, and they were willing to help." He chuckles. "I admit they did better than I thought they would, I'm surprised it's still intact after so many days, although I'm sure some of the petals were stirred around by the wind."
I smile warmly at him, giving him a quick peck on the lips before turning away from him and removing my shoes and socks to wiggle my bare toes in the sand. This is nice.
