MORNING came, and I woke up early. It was almost five in the morning when I stepped out of my room. It’s a good thing that the room they lend me is complete with necessities. The closets are even filled with clothes. I don’t know who owned them, but I will just ask Build later and borrow a black shirt, pants, and underwear.

I walked along the hallway, staring at every door I passed by, hoping in mind to see Build. I wasn’t able to ask him where his room might be. But I wonder if he’s already awake. So, I just continued walking, until I finally found the stairs.

This villa is absolutely enormous. I don’t know if it was just too early or what, but I couldn’t find anyone. Even last night when I came, I didn’t see anyone here aside from Build, Finley, Luve, and Bua. Where are the other bodyguards? Where are the people Build told me who are protecting him? Only those three?

I stepped down the stairs, still rounding my eyes in the vicinity, until I finally found someone when I reached the living room.

It was Bua, wearing a plain black shirt, paired with camouflage jogger pants, and plain black rubber shoes. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she was wearing round eyeglasses. No make-up and accessories, aside from her diver watch.

She immediately smiled lightly when she saw me. “Good morning, Sir Bible. You woke up early.” She glanced at her wristwatch. “Sir Build’s wake up schedule when he’s here on the island is six. And it was only five in the morning.” She took back her gaze at me. “Do you want to eat your breakfast now, or will you wait for him?”

“I’ll wait for him.”

She smiled again. “Alright.” Then she motioned to the couch and said, “You can stay here while waiting. There are newspapers and magazines under the center table. I’ll bring you something to drink. What do you prefer? Coffee, milk, or tea?”

“Coffee, please,” I replied as I sat in the armchair.

“Copy, Sir.”

I sat there and waited for her. And while waiting, I took a newspaper and browsed at it. They are updated on all the happenings outside this island. Thus, it won’t be surprising that Build was aware of everything that happened in the Crimson Wood while he was hiding here.

Not long after, Bua came back, holding a saucer with a cup of coffee. She placed it on the center table in front of me, before standing not too far from me.

“Where’s yours?” I asked, because she only brought mine.

“I don’t drink coffee. And I just finished drinking my hot chocolate awhile ago.” Then she smiled again, lightly.

I just nodded and took the cup and saucer from the center table, before gently sipping it.

“Do you want me to leave or accompany you here?” she asked.

I took back my gaze at her and smiled. “Are you busy?”

“Now, not really. Later, yes,” her reply, and was about to sit in the armchair across from me, but she halted. “I apologize, I haven’t introduced myself formally.” She stood straight. “My name is Bua. Sir Jakapan Puttha’s loyal bodyguard.” Then, she gently bowed her head.
