I COULDN’T hide my smile after reading Bible’s reply to my message.

“It’s our lunch break. Suddenly thought of you. Have you eaten your lunch yet?” my message.

His reply, “I was about to. Don’t think of me too much. You might not focus on your work. ;-)”

It has been two weeks since Bible and I became friends officially. After that lunch in my apartment, we never lost contact anymore. Of course, I asked for his number before I’d let him leave my room, pft.

And because of that, we became closer. For the past two weeks, we have often exchanged messages, we sometimes call each other, and we’ve decided to buy groceries together every Sunday.

I feel so thrilled because I now have someone I can bond with aside from my kittens. He even introduced me to Grey--- his cute and lovely cat. So, I bought one of my cats too, who I named Mino to play with Grey.

Bible and I have so much in common--- I think. We clicked so much together. It has been just two weeks, but we bonded well. We always agree with each other. And Bible is awesome, because he knows how to ride on my silliness. And it feels so nice to make him always laugh. He looks more handsome when smiling and laughing.

I’d started to type on my screen to send him my reply, but I almost dropped my phone when suddenly…

“Hey!” someone exclaimed and sat next to me. He even put his arm on my shoulder while grinning fatuously.

He startled me.

“Who are you texting with? Your girl?” he then asked me, still with his goofy grin.

It’s Tommy.

I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket inside my coat. This man always loved to put his nose into other people’s business.

So, I faced him and smiled. “Not your business,” then I said smilingly. “Have you eaten your lunch yet?”

But Tommy’s grin didn’t leave his face. “Exchanging the subject, e?”

I faintly laughed and removed his arm from my shoulder. “Stop being nosy, Tommy. Eat your lunch and get back to work.” Then, I continued eating my lunch.

I heard him laugh, then he nudged me on my shoulder. “Okay, okay. I’ll stop being nosy… Just for now. I’ll be nosy again later.” He then laughed again. “But for now let me get to my real agenda.”

I faced him again with a pucker on my forehead. “What agenda?”

He showed his goofy smile again and answered, “I want to invite you this Thursday night. It’s my birthday. You can’t say no.”

Thursday night? It’s April 7.

I tried to think about whether I had another appointment on that night. But I remember nothing. So, I faced him again and nodded. “Okay.”

And it seems my answer made him shocked. “Seriously? You accepted my invitation! You’re not kidding, right?” He really can’t believe that I accepted his invitation. I smiled. It’s not surprising his shocked reaction though. This is the first time I have accepted an invitation.

Aside from Bible’s invitation, of course. I always accept his invitation in an instant.

I nodded again. “I’m serious. I’m coming.”
