Lucy's P.O.V
My mind is hazy
Why can't I get out of this...what is this?
Why can't I see you, Natsu...
How long have I been gone?
Have you forgotten me?
Has my father...
No.
No.
Please, no, it can't be that.
I'll be waiting for you, yeah?
Natsu's P.O.V
He had finally given in, not to spilling his information, but screaming in pain.
Jude had visited him a second time today. It had been a month, Lucy had shown no signs of waking up yet.
He was more than in distress. He was steaming with pure anger. Yelling incoherent things, reeking of alcohol. His motions were sloppy, but he knew what he was going to do.
"I give you one-chance, dragon." He slurred.
Natsu hung there, silent, trying to block him out, block out the small little cuts he inflicted on his body. But he could ignore the sudden deep stab within his back. Carving, deeper and deeper the knife swerved, around and about his wings. Letting out a roar of agony, Natsu's blood curdling scream shook the structure of the castle.
Lucy's P.O.V
I can feel something.
Something warm, but it makes my heart ache.
What is happening?
My ears are ringing but I hear no sound.
I can see a light, should I follow...
But, wouldn't that mean dying?
I can't leave you, not yet, Natsu.
What would you do?
The light is casting away the dark...
I have no choice, if I die, or perhaps I'm already dead...
I love you.
Throwing her head upwards, her body jerked into a sitting position. Her heart beat fast as her breath raged. Then she heard it.
His scream, his heartbreaking cry for help pushed her out of the darkness.
Falling out of her bed, her legs felt nonexistent. Even so, she dragged herself off the ground. Towards her door, she crawled, hearing his screams become louder and louder.
"Natsu..." She chocked back tears as she reached for the door.
Opening the door, she continued her way down the hallway. Only to be stopped by guards.
"Princess?! W-hat..?" They stuttered as they tried to pick her up.
"Don't touch me! I need to get to where Natsu is!" She pushed them away.
"Princess, you can't." They pressed as they grabbed her.
"Let me go!" She yelled as she tried to muster up her strength.
"Let's go back to your room." They hushed her.
"No! Let me go! Natsu!"
Natsu's P.O.V
No! Let me go! Natsu!
Natsu snapped from his fit of screams. The pain coming from his back hit him harder than anything.
Taking in a deep breath, "Lucy!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.
Minutes later he heard chaos outside his room.
"Move now." He heard poison within her tone, making his heart swell.
"Stumbling through the door, Lucy stared at the horrific scene before her.
Lucy's P.O.V
Lucy couldn't believe what she was seeing. Blood, sweat, tears.
"N-Natsu..." She covered her mouth.
"I'm...f-fine, Lucy." He tried to smile.
"Your...wings..." She looked at the cascaded separated wings upon the ground.
"Who..." She looked around, only to see her father, passed out within the corner of the room, holding a blood stained knife.
"Let me- get you down." Her hands shook as she untied and unlocked the chains.
He fell, but she caught him. He lay almost limp in her arms. His back was a blood bath.
"I'm so sorry." She cried
"It...didn't hurt..." He lied as he loosely hugged her weakly.
"I need a doctor!" She yelled outside.
Soon enough the doctor strode in, taking Natsu away.
"They won't hurt you, he won't anymore...I won't be long, Natsu." She kissed his forehead before he left her sight.
Turning to her father, hate gleamed through her eyes, blinding her as she stepped towards him.
