SOJOURNING IN THE PAST✔️

Chapter 1

Sharada : Arnav ! It's 7:00 am. Won't you wake up ?

Arnav : what ? Why my alarm didn't ring ? 

Arnav grabbed his mobile and checked it. He threw the mobile with frustration. Instead of 6:00 am he set an alarm at pm.

Sharada : you can go in time if you get out of your bed immediately.

Arnav : yeah mom ! 

Arnav quickly messaged Riya and went into washroom and within few minutes he is all ready. He picked his bag and placed his stuff in it. 

Arnav : mom ! I'll have breakfast after going to office. Pack it in a box please.

Sharada : sure !

Arnav : where's dad ? 

Sharada : he went to hospital ! An emergency it seems !

Arnav : did he take my car ?

Sharada : yeah ! His car isn't starting it seems.

Arnav : what a wonderful day !

Sharada gave the box to Arnav. He kept it in his bag and gave a quick hug to his mom. 

Sharada : i'll drop you at bus stop !

Arnav : thanks.

Sharada locked the house and they started their journey. Sharada dropped Arnav at the bus stop and drove to the university.

Mitra : Riya ! Where's the blue file ?

Riya : it's in the office ! 

Mitra : i need it immediately !

Riya : i'll ask someone to get it.

Riya : now where's my mobile ?

Mitra : there !

Mitra pointed to the charging point.

Riya took her mobile and the first thing she saw is arnav's message.

( arnav : hey riya ! 

                 I think i'll be late today. Please save me ! )

Riya chuckled.

Mitra : what's funny ?

Riya : look at this !

Riya passed her mobile to Mitra. Mitra read the message and smiled but then she changed her expression to a poker face. She gave the mobile to Riya. Riya observed it but didn't speak anything. She didn't understand why these two always behave strangers around each other. 

Mitra : you go to the office and take a look at the details i mentioned in that file. I'll go for the meeting.

Riya : ok ! 

Riya left to the office after having her breakfast. Mitra took a shower and dressed in plain black saree which is perfectly draped. She wore black heels for that saree which increased her height from  5"11 to 6"2. She looked at herself in the mirror and then thought of removing those heels. She wore flats and grabbed her bag and car key's.

Mitra : satyamma ( housekeeper) ! I'm going.

Satyamma : ok maa ! Have a nice day ! 

Mitra : thank you ! I already made breakfast for you !

Mitra walked towards the driveway. Satyamma looked at Mitra with adoration.

Arnav is waited for the bus but it didn't show up. So, he booked a cab and he kept on tracking it. That stupid driver is keeping on roaming in the streets by leaving the main road away. Then he heard a car horn sound. As he lifted his head up from his mobile he saw a black rolls royce. he know the owner of that car very well. He also know why that person stopped. He opened the door and sat in the passenger seat but didn't bother ti thank that person. His mobile popped with a message.

( Riya : the presentation is at a hotel. I am sending the address. Don't come to the office. Go there directly. 

Arnav : ok ! )

Arnav kept his mobile in his pocket and turned the music on.

So, why can't you see ?

Arnav sighed and turned it off. The one who gave lift to him and driving the car is none other than Mitra. 

Arnav : Hey stop ! 

Mitra stopped the car suddenly. Arnav pointed towards the person who is standing in front of a cafe. 

Arnav : it's our professor ! 

Mitra parked the car near that cafe and they got down.

Arnav : Thilak sir ! 

Thilak : hey arnav ! How are you ? Oh ! Mitra ! Nice to meet you again.

Mitra : thank you sir ! How are you ?

Thilak : I'm doing great ! You two ?

Arnav : I'm her employee.

Thilak : oh ok !

They spoke for few minutes.

Arnav : ok sir ! Will meet again. We are going somewhere on some urgent work but stopped as we saw you.

Thilak : oh sure ! Bye arnav ! Bye mitra !

Mitra gave the keys to Arnav and sat in the passenger seat. He shook his head and started driving. She opened his bag and took out his laptop. She typed the password MITRARNAV. And it unlocked. She looked at the photo of her teenage self which is set as the wallpaper. She opened the file she wants and started checking it. As the car stopped in-front of a majestic 5-star hotel she held the laptop and took her bag. As she got down she kept his laptop in her bag and started walking inside along with Arnav who is walking behind her. They got into the elevator and clicked on the number 14. But a person kept his leg in between the closing doors and stopped the elevator. He got inside along with two assistants  and smirked at them.

Mihir : the day seems to be pretty beautiful isn't it jenny ? 

He asked his assistant who just nodded.

Arnav is constantly glaring at him. As they reached the 14th floor they came outside.

Kiara ( mithra's employee) : good morning ma'am !

Mithra : is everything perfect ?

Kiara : yes ma'am.

Mithra :we must get it. We can't loose it.

Kiara : ok ma'am. 

Mithra walked with a little fast phase. 

Kiara to arnav : we must get it . We can't loose it.

Arnav : i have ears. They are working perfectly. Tell your boss.

Kiara : our boss.

Arnav rolled his eyes and went into the conference hall . He sat in the seat beside mithra. She gave a tiny note to him. It read 'All the Best'. He smiled and looked at her face. She still have a poker face. He kept the note in his pocket.

Mihir : what a pretty handwriting ? Mine sucks !

Arnav : because it's a pretty soul's handwriting.

Mihir clenched his fist.
