Chapter 12

Mahitha went to her chamber and got ready for attending the court. She always does her work on her own. She never takes any help from maids. She heard a knock on her room door. She opened the door and saw her father.

Mahitha : pranam papa ! 

Mahadeva : pranam ! You are injured. Let me see ! 

Mahadeva checked the bruise on mahitha's arm. 

Mahadeva : I'm here to do the first-aid.

Mahitha : it's ok papa . I'll do that.

Mahadeva : hush ! Sit here. 

Mahadeva made her to sit on the couch and started cleaning her wound, he then tied a bandage around her elbow. 

Mahadeva : get ready ! I'm going.

Mahitha : ok papa.

Mahadeva walked towards the court room and he sat on his throne. All ministers stood up with respect. The queen walked towards her seat beside the king's throne.

Minister : Maharaja ! Today we have an important problem to look upon. A merchant  from our empire exports his product to the kingdom munthala . He claims that he saw few people who are telling that they are from vijayapuri and are from the royal family. they are creating troubles to the local merchants. As munthala is a small kingdom . The king isn't trying to look upon that issue. He is scared if we would announce a war against him.

Mahadeva : produce that merchant into the court !

Minister : ok maharaja !

The merchant was produced in the court. The merchant bowed to the king and stood beside the minister.

Mahadeva : So, you are the one who told about that . Explain the features of those people.

Merchant : yes maharaj ! The group is led by 2 people. One of them is tall and dark-skinned with a long beard. The other one is short and he have a scar on his forehead and 

Mahitha : he don't have an arm. Right ?

Merchant : yes Rajkumari ! 

Mahadeva : do you know them mahitha ?

Mahitha : yes maharaja ! 

Mahadeva : will you please explain ?

Mahitha : yes ! Few months ago i got complaints regarding mysterious thefts from the merchants. We plotted something to catch them. But we caught one person and the other two escaped. During that his hand got chopped by our senadhipathi ( commander ).

Mahadeva : ok ! Look up on this issue. You just have 2 days.

Mahitha : ok maharaj ! 

The other discussions are done for the next few hours and everyone dispersed after that. The king called his wife and daughter to his chamber.

Mahadeva : mahi ! You are almost 21 years old. I think you should get married ! Many kings and prince's are sending wedding proposals. But, you have all rights to decide about your life.

Mahitha : papa ! I still need some time.

Mahadeva : ok ! Let's have our dinner together.

The family went to their massive dining room and had their dinner together. After that they retired to their rooms. Mahitha wore a common woman's attire and tucked daggers into her clothes. She silently went towards the horse stable and called her horse. He came out as soon as he heard his master. The king is watching his daughter from his balcony.

Mahitha : lakshya( horse's name )  ! Are you ready for another adventure ?

He neighs . Mahitha smiled and hugged his face. She climbed on him and they rode towards the west side.

Adarsh woke up with a jolt . He saw huge trees everywhere. He concluded that it's a forest. He slowly stood up and started walking. He didn't find anyone. Soon darkness covered his surroundings and he can't see anything. He sat on a huge rock and waited for someone to come. Soon he drifted into sleep.

Mahitha rode towards the forest and stopped near a pond for forest. She heard ruffling sound. She freezed in her position and keenly listened to the sound. She took out her dagger. Now she is ready to attack. Suddenly a tiger jumped out of the bushes, but not in mahitha's direction. Then mahitha saw someone on the rock. That person woke up with a jolt and is extremely frightened.

A short chapter ! But it will be good this way ! 

Sorry if this boring but it is necessary for the future chapters. Finally the protagonists are going to meet soon !
