Chapter 20

Vallabha took his sword slit the king's throat. His wife and his daughter gasped.

Vallabha deva : you are a disgrace to the word father. You are hungry for power right ? So, you thought of getting your daughter married to me. Don't you know that i am 20 years elder than her ? Don't you know that i am a ruthless monster ? Don't you know that i am one woman man ? Soldiers pack this corpse and send to their kingdom.

The princess of that kingdom ( sunetra )  looked at vallabha deva and priyamvadha with intense eyes.

Sunetra ( murmurs ) : you'll definitely pay for this ! 

Vallabha deva : what did you say ?

Sunetra : do you think my father wanted to make an alliance because of power hunger ? It's because I Love you ! 

Vallabha deva laughed.

Vallabha deva : that's your mistake. You loved a married man ! 

Sunetra : what's so special in your wife ? What's so inferior in me ?

Vallabha deva : my wife never points anything to me even if i am causing pain to her. Because she knows that i am doing right. Her family got her married to me for power hunger. They thought i won't harm their kingdom. Her brothers tried to invade into my kingdom and capture it by killing me. I killed her whole family in front of her. She didn't even blink her eyes. That's her greatness. I being an ardent follower of lord rama can never marry an another girl. Get out of my kingdom.

Vallabha deva walked towards his chamber. Priya followed him.

Vallabha deva sat on the bed and kicked the vase. Priya startled. 

Vallabha deva : priya ! 

Priyamvadha moved towards him.

He took her hand and made her slap him many times.

Priyamvadha : no maharaj ! What are you doing ?

Vallabha deva : I slapped you right ? Don't I deserve a punishment. I'm sorry ! I was extremely mad. I don't know why that stupid girl joined her hands with Mahitha.

Priyamvadha : it's my idea maharaja ! 

Vallabhadeva looked at her intense anger.

Priyamvadha : we are trying to misguide her and trap her !

Vallabha deva : yes ! She is believing us. Do you know something ? She is going to sneak into our kingdom today ! She is going to come for saving kritaja. The parrot herself is getting into the cage.

Vallabha deva held priyamvadha's face and kissed her forehead.

Vallabha deva : may be i have done a great deed in my past life and you are a result of that. I am blessed to have you priya ! 

Priyamavadha hugged him.

Mahadeva is thinking deeply about something. The doors opened suddenly and the commander dragged two people towards him.

Commander : your majesty ! These are those traitors.

Mahadeva : put them behind the bars. Let's investigate them later.

Commander : ok maharaja ! 

Mahadeva : commander ! 

Commader : Yes maharaja !

Mahadeva : who's that young man ?

Commander : which one ?

Mahadeva : the one who came along with mahitha !

Commander : princess told that he is mentally unstable and blabbers stupid stuff. She said we should find his address and send away.

Mahadeva : ok !

Commander left and the king moved towards adarsh's room. The soldiers bowed to him. 

Adarsh looked at him.

Adarsh : namasthey ji ! Who are you ?

The soldiers gasped.

Mahadeva :  my name is mahadeva  ! 

Adarsh : sorry maharaja ! 

Mahadeva : it's fine. What's your name ?

Adarsh : adarsh.

Mahadeva : ok ! Where are you from ?

Adarsh : muhammad nagar ! 

( in 16th century Hyderabad is called as muhammad nagar )

Mahadeva : ok ! Did you have your dinner ?

Adarsh : no maharaja ! 

Mahadeva : come ! Let's have together.

Adarsh was hesitant. The king placed his hand around adarsh's shoulder and smiled politely. Adarsh followed him.

He sat silently at dining table.

Mahadeva : so, what do you do ?

Adarsh : I am a scientist.

Mahadeva : ok ! Your family ?

Adarsh : I don't have anyone except for my brother. He is a merchant.

Mahadeva : ok ! Parents ?

Adarsh : even I don't know about them ! 

Adarsh said by smiling.

Mahadeva's smile vanished.

Mahadeva : how did you meet mahi ? 

Adarsh : mahi ?

Mahadeva : my daughter mahitha !

Adarsh : oh ! I met her in the forest maharaja ! She saved me from a tiger. The tiger git scared because of her and it ran away.

Mahadeva's face lit up with pride.

Mahadeva : on what purpose you came here ?

Adarsh : for exploring maharaja ! Your empire is extremely beautiful.

After having their dinner adarsh moved towards his room and the king is engrossed in his work.

Adarsh is sleeping. Lakshya came to his room and neighed.

Adarsh : rey ! Come tomorrow morning. I'll teach you how to flirt. Good night !

Lakshya neighed again. He kicked adarsh slightly with his fore leg. Adarsh woke up with a jolt and fell down.

Adarsh : hey stupid horse ! What's wrong with you ?  Why you aren't letting me ...

Adarsh stopped as soon as he saw tears in lakshya's eyes.

Adarsh : rey what happened ? 

Lakshya turned and let the scroll get into his view. Adarsh took it and read it. 

'We are in danger. Save chitrangadha from the bandits.'

Adarsh ruffled the horse's head and moved outside. He saw duty soldiers.

Adarsh : where's the emergency bell ?

Soldiers : there ! Why ?

Adarsh : thanks ! 

Soldier : why ?

Adarsh didn't listen to them and walked towards the emergency bell and he rang it. The whole palace is awake because of that sound. 

Adarsh walked towards the palace and the guards didn't let him in. He pushed them away and opened the door. He walked towards the king's chamber and the king himself came out.

Mahadeva : we are in danger ! Mahitha is in danger ! 

Adarsh showed the scroll to him.
