Chapter 6

Arnav : what ? 

Adarsh : yes ! The time machine took her into some other timeline.

Arnav : so, it worked.

Adarsh : yes ! 

Arnav : Uncle ! You people just made a time machine and aunt is teleported somewhere.

Adarsh : yes ! But we lost the time machine.

Arnav : how ?

Adarsh : someone robbed it. We are searching for it since last 20 years but  we didn't find it.

Arnav : if we find it can we bring her back ?

Adarsh : of course ! We can bring her back.

Arnav : let's work on that. 

Adarsh : i think i should leave now.

Adarsh left from there without getting noticed by anyone.

Arnav sat on a rock and he is staring at the sky.

Mithra drove to her farmhouse. She parked the car and went inside. She ran into the basement and opened the box in which she preserved her parents belongings.

Mithra cried her heart out. She clutched her mother's saree in her hands.

Mithra : maa ! Why you left me alone ? Don't you love me ? The world is so cruel amma ! No one loves me the way you love me ! Why you don't want to meet me ? I know those letters are written by nanna . I can differentiate between your handwriting and nanna's  handwriting. Where are you ?

Mithra kept on crying for a long time and she dozed off there itself.

Arnav recalled that day when he and Mithra fought. He recalled how she tried to tell something but he didn't listen. He just slapped her and received 2 slaps in return. She believed maya's words. He fisted his hand as he remembered his sister maya. He believed his sister more than mithra. He ended up breaking her heart. He never listened to her. He just told her to shut her mouth. It hurted her badly. For one year they didn't face each-other. But when sharada's health was not good mithra came back. She took care of her . Whereas maya never bothered to visit her ill mother. 

When Arnav lost his Job because he filed a complaint against a well named company for using low quality building material she offered a job to him in the company .She planned to build her dream company along with her love but she ended up making her dream a reality all by herself. After lot of thinking he joined in her company . Soon they came closer again but never spoke with each other as they waited for the other one to apologise. But them being them never bothered to apologise the other.

After some time arnav went home.

Mithra got a call from Riya.

Mithra : hello !

Riya : hey ! Where are you ?

Mithra : i'll come home in an hour.

Mithra got up and went into her room. She freshed up and went into the kitchen. She found a cookie packet in the cupboard. She started munching them. Then she drive back to her house.

Riya : hey ! I already packed your luggage. 

Mithra : thank you.

Riya : I'm sorry ! 

Mithra : for what ? 

Riya : for everything that went wrong because of me.

Mithra : it's ok. You can't change it.

Mithra checked her luggage and then her workers placed the luggage in her car boot.

Mithra : satyamma ! You have a doctor appointment at 5:00 pm. Driver will pick you. Ok ?

Satyamma : ok amma ! Take care.

Mithra : take your medicine's at right time and eat well.

Mithra is about leave but she came back and gave a light hug to satyamma.

Sharada : Arnav ! 

Arnav : maa !

Sharada : why you slept here ? 

Arnav came home at 5:30 am in the morning and he slept on the bench in their garden. Sharada who came opened the door at 6:30 am saw him. Her heart ached.

Arnav : nothing maa ! 

Arnav went inside and got ready. He left to his office without listening to his mother who is calling him. He is completely engrossed in his thoughts.

Kiara : Shinde ! For god sake don't sing that song again ! 

Mr.Shinde : why kiara ?

Kiara : for my ears it feels like i am listening to a jackals cry.

Mr.Shinde : what ? You are defaming an artist. 

Kiara : achha ! 

Kiara saw mithra who just came. She is sitting on the desk. She immediately stood up.

Kiara : good morning ma'am !

Mithra : call the team to boardroom immediately.

Kiara : ok ma'am.

Arnav came to the office. His eyes are puffed up and anyone can notice that something is wrong with him.

Riya : Arnav ! 

Arnav : what ?

Riya : did you cry ?

Arnav : yes ! But not as much as she cried because of me.

Mithra came outside and saw arnav and riya. She turned her head away and went to the board room.

Riya patted his arm and followed mithra. Arnav stood there silently for few minutes and went inside.

Mithra : Guys ! We all now how prestigious this project is ! It means a lot for our state's tourism development. This project gives a wide publicity to our company. It may be positive or negative based on our work. This museum is going to be constructed in the outskirts of the city. The basic plan is already ready. The construction work will be supervised by Mrs.Jaya. She will be the chief engineer for this project. As you guys already know. I am going to work on the architecture of this museum and also the interiors . For that i have to do some ground work. I'll be away for few days. So, I am announcing miss.Riya as your temporary CEO. 

Everyone clapped, Riya thanked them.

Mithra : I don't want to see any sort of double games. If anyone is on the side of other companies or planning to leave this company and join an another one you can't be part of this project. Got it ?

Everyone nodded.

Mithra : that's all for the meeting.

Everyone dispersed.

Mithra : Riya ! I'll be leaving in an hour.

Riya : ok !

Riya looked at Arnav.

Kiara asked the surveillance room incharge to turn off parking lot camera for few minutes. He understood her plan and he did that. She went and removed air from the tyres of Arnav's car.

She jumped with happiness and went upstairs again.
